Villa Maria was built thinking of the well-being of our guests for a dream holiday, It has a magnific view over the Atlantic sea, the mountains and the Candelaria village. We are located about 17 Km from the airport; 19 Km from Ponta Delgada, the main city of São Miguel; 5 Km away from the thermal springs, Ferraria (in the ocean); about 10 min from the famous lakes of Sete Cidades and also the Mosteiros beach

Villa Maria is located in Candelaria, São Miguel, Azores, was built in 2015, it is two semi-detached houses, modern, comfortable and welcoming house, where you can relax, with panoramic sea view ,mountains and town. Each house has its private area, only the swimming pool and the garden are shared. The house is self catering.

The evenings are magic and you can enjoy the wonderful sunsets and stars, surrounding by a peaceful silence and nature songs.

Having your meals on the terrace surrounding by the green and blue landscape makes your day worth offers you unforgettable moments!

To make your stay in our island even more special we are always ready to give you the best advices and tips, to ensure you don’t miss that wonderful and secret place!

São Miguel is a magic and wonderful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It belongs to a group of very special nine islands, the Azores!

Everything and everybody is natural and authentic! Around every corner there is a beautiful view, a new patch of green, a lovely hillside or a beautiful scene of waves crashing on rocks.

The price is valid for 2 people, each extra person is 15 euros per night.
It's considered one day since the 12 hours until the 12 hours of the following day.
The rental of the house is made on behalf of a person or couple duly identified.
Check out at 10 o'clock , check in after 15 o'clock . It can be at any time if the house is available. Its has to be confirm before.

The home was well above our expectations. From the moment we checked in and Sergio walked us through all of the details, we felt right at home. Their hospitality was far be on any I have ever experienced. I would highly recommend there homes. Great location!

Amazing place to stay

House is very clean and tidy. Owner is very friendly and welcoming. Views from the property are beautiful, location is quiet but within easy distance of everything. I would really recommend this place to stay in Azores.

This was our second time staying in Villa Maria, last time we were in 1. They both have the same layout and amenities. Beautifully clean, screens on the windows (very important) lovely welcome foods and very comfortable. I am sure we will return "home" when next we visit Sao Miguel. Thank you Sergio and Maria!

The apartment is impeccable! Sergio and Maria are excellent hosts. The hydrangea garden they have in the back is beautiful! My husband and I liked the BBQ area (even though we didn't use it) but that's the highest point on the property and the view of the ocean is super nice during the day, and at night you can see thousands and thousands of stars! We were welcomed with a stacked with bread, milk, ham, fruit and a bottle of wine! I liked the fact that the town was small and away from city traffic and very close driving to Sete Cidades.

Country House with ocean view

Enjoyed our stay at Villa Maria 2. The attention to detail in construction, upkeep, furnishings and amenities was greatly appreciated. Having a startup supply of food soaps and paper products was a pleasant surprise. The hospitality and trip suggestions from Sergio was such a bonus. We would happily recommend and would be pleased to return. The view from the patio and Gardens in the rear were lovely spaces to relax and enjoy the Beautiful scenery. The bread delivery was such a treat!

Fantastic location and wonderful hosts

Communication was speedy and insightful from start to finish. Sergio met us at the property and took time to explain the amenities on site. He went further and told us about some of the must-see sites including a nearby thermal pool that was very special. He even provided a timetable of high/low tides at the thermal pool....that information was not in the guides I had researched!He also offered to take us to the one of the big lakes in the his buggy. We have enjoyed welcome food packs at other properties we stayed in but Sergio and Maria really did take care of us, not only did they stock the flat with tea and coffee, but there were also essentials in the fridge too, such as milk, butter, cheese, eggs and cold meats. Another bonus compared to other rentals is access to cable TV. Being a news junkie, I really appreciated tapping into the BBC as well the movie channels. What made our stay extra special was to be included in a unique religious festival. Sergio invited us to join him and the rest of the village for a communinal dinner on the night we arrived and to watch an associated procession the following day. Thank you Sergio and Mario for being such generous hosts!

Really successful relaxing holiday

Dear Maria and Sergio, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for a really successful relaxing holiday in your beautiful holiday home, for your hospitality and your friendly support. The house is in a wonderfully quiet location with a fantastic view of the town and the Atlantic, which can only be topped if you climb the slope behind the house on the wonderfully landscaped property, where there is also a pool and, further up, a covered patio In addition to a barbecue area, other holiday activities are possible. The holiday home has spacious rooms and everything else you need in a holiday apartment. The spacious terrace offers a fantastic view. Many thanks also to Maria for kindly providing the most necessary food, which left us wanting for nothing on the first day, even bread/rolls, butter, fruit, etc. was thought of. Sergio (?) added a bottle of red wine and gave us lots of valuable suggestions for nice excursions and sightseeing, which we were happy to take up. Thank you for that too! A special highlight was a buggy tour to the most beautiful viewpoints in the area in Sergio's yellow "runabout", which we really enjoyed. We would be happy to recommend the holiday home in every respect. (100/100 points!) Bernhard & Renate

Un séjour innoubliable

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à Villa Maria 2. Sérgio nous a permis d’arriver le matin, ce qui fût très apprécié car nous arrivions très tôt de Montréal. Également très apprécié fut les aliments de base dans le frigo (lait, oeufs, fromage, beurre, jambon et fruits) et du pain. L’appartement était grand, très propre et lumineux. Il y avait de la climatisation mais nous n’en avons pas eu besoin. Sérgio nous a donné un aperçu des endroits à visiter sur l’ile. Nous nous sommes concentrés sur la région ouest de l’ile. Le logement est très bien situé pour visiter Sete Cidades. Si Sérgio vous offre un tour de buggy (dune buggy décapotable) acceptez-le car ce fut inoubliable comme promenade! En conclusion, je recommande chaudement l’endroit.

Uitstekende accomodatie op Sao Miguel

Ons vakantie huisje op Sao Miguel op de Azoren was een van de aller beste huisjes die we hebben gehad. Niet alleen het huisje maar ook de verhuurder; We kwamen wat later aan maar de eerste boodschappen had hij al geregeld (zonder er om te vragen). Daarnaast had hij uitleg gegeven wat er te zien is op het eiland. Beide waren zeer welkom, naar de vriendelijkheid en het welkom. Ik zou het een ieder aanraden.

Wir hatten eine Woche lang eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Villa Maria. Die Gastgeber waren äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Wohnung war mit allen notwendigen Dingen ausgestattet und ist schön ruhig gelegen, am oberen Dorfrand. Der Blick über die Küstenlandschaft und das Meer waren einfach herrlich.

Tolle Wohnung

Eine tolle FW mit wirklich allem was man braucht und sehr sauber! Wir wurden freundlich empfangen , Kühlschrank war gefüllt, Brot, Wein, Wasser und ein großer Obstkorb sicherte unser überleben für den Abend und Morgen. Täglich wurde in der Früh Brot geliefert. Sergio versorgte uns mit Informationen und gab Tipps. Eine Buggyfahrt mit ihm war toll. Einzig das Sofa sollte getauscht werden, da es durchgessen war. Wir können die ruhig gelegene Wohnung empfehlen!!!
