Fireflies & Moonshine is well-reviewed and tastefully updated (both bathrooms fully remodeled), with 2 gas fireplaces and an electric fireplace above the soaker in the 1st floor suite! The cabin is in a neighborhood style resort (not secluded) only 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg, sleeps up to 6 total (no more than 5 adults) comfortably with easy parking for 2 cars and a short walk to the swimming pool (open May-Sept). The kitchen is well-stocked and there’s natural gas grill on the deck. Each bedroom suite has its own TV, and there's ample space to relax. Enjoy Mt. LeConte views from the front porch, make family memories with evening shuffleboard competitions and board games, savor morning coffee, or melt into quiet moments in the unique sunroom.

The cabin is about 10 minutes to some great hiking spots at the Greenbrier section of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, less than a mile from Rocky Top Sports World, or a quick drive into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge for tons of family fun!

Fireflies & Moonshine Cabin is in beautiful Mountain Shadows Resort within the city limits of Gatlinburg. There are cameras at the resort entrance, adjacent cabins, and on the front porch of the cabin showing the front porch and parking in front of the cabin. The surveillance devices may capture video and audio. No cameras inside the cabin or any that intrude on private space. Cabin has parking for 2 vehicles. No campers, RVs, or trailers are permitted in the resort. Security deposit, ID verification, and signed rental agreement are all required.

Wonderful!

We had another wonderful visit at the Fireflies & Moonshine Cabin! As always, we enjoyed the kitchen with many great tools for all of our cooking needs. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. We love the location to Smoky Mountain National Park and enjoyed several days hiking.

Great home base

We really loved our stay. The cabin was spotless and had plenty of room for our family of 4. I especially liked the little enclosed porch space with comfortable reclining chairs. It was the perfect spot to step away from the main cabin area to enjoy the surrounding trees and relax while others watched TV, played arcade games, etc. after our hiking adventures in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Great Cabin for family

The cabin was great for our family vacation. Would recommend for a small family. Very cozy and clean. Everything there actually worked compared to others we have stayed at. Video games and the shuffle board game was fun with the boys. Outside deck was nice, and saw 5 bears at the end of the road about 40 yards away. Very quiet. Great location for attractions, eating and shopping. Pizza places are a little expensive. Solorzano's Pizzeria & Bistro Gatlinburg was really good and offer 20% for military. Left at first because no one was there, but ordered anyways. Glad we did. Log Cabin Pancake House was a great breakfast place. And then me and the wife went to Smokey Mountain Brewery in Pigeon Forge was a great place for a couple of drinks. And their Kaluha Chocolate Chip Cheesecake was awesome. We didnt get a chance to go, but was told by many that Cades Cove is a really great place for a scenic drive and historical things to see. And the management was quick to answer anything. Would highly recommend. The short road to go up is steep, but the 2 parking spots in front of the cabin are flat with no issues.

Such a great stay!

We really enjoyed our time at fireflies and moonshine cabin during spring break this year! It felt very clean! The cabin had everything we could ever need! Our kids absolutely loved the addition of the sunroom on the back and having their own space upstairs! The owners were fast to reply if we needed something and you can tell they really value their cabin! One thing to note – the road to get up to the cabin is very steep and we weren't quite expecting that. Luckily, the cabin is on the flat part of the road! The cabin is perfectly located in Gatlinburg where you are a little out of the hustle & bustle but still very close driving distance! We especially loved Anakeesta, the aquarium, cataract falls hike, chimney picnic area, & El Paso’s Mexican in Sevierville! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!

We are frequent visitors to the Smokies and love all that is has to offer and are always ready to head back whether for hiking, viewing wildlife, taking our kids for walks in nearby creeks, go-carting, or just driving through the beautiful Smoky Mountain National Park to enjoy the scenery.

Why they chose this property

This is our 2nd of 3 cabins in the same resort. It was previously owned by a couple as a second home. This cabin is one of the best maintained we've ever seen and has flat parking! The cabin is in a perfect location to enjoy the many activities available in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. It is quiet and relaxing and feels like you are miles from hustle and bustle, yet it is minutes from everything.

What makes this property unique

We love this cabin and it shows! You won't find a 2 bedroom cabin with the extra space this one has, or one in better condition anywhere in the area. We are constantly working to improve our guest's experience whether it is a stocked kitchen, fresh stain, tasteful décor, or simply fixing or replacing that thing that is broken to ensure you have a great time! It is located near the Arts & Crafts Community where you can spend hours (or maybe days) viewing and buying things from local craftspeople. We are about a mile to Rocky Top Sports World. You can sit on the front porch or the back sun room sipping coffee while you plan your day and enjoy the beauty of our cabin's location.
This cabin has many updates including granite countertops and updated appliances in the kitchen, all new flooring, and remodel of both 1st & 2nd floor bathrooms, along with with fireplace and soaker in the 1st floor bedroom!
