About this property
Cosy and comfortable cottage, a short walk to village and amenities.
You have found the perfect place to stay to explore Royal Deeside, the Cairngorm National Park and the Highlands. Sitting at the foot of the oak covered Craigendarroch Hill, set back from the road in peaceful surroundings, the cosy cottage is just 700 metres from the centre of the Victorian market town of Ballater.
Walk down the road to sample the delights of village life, restaurants, pubs and shops of all descriptions. Take advantage of the outdoor pursuits on offer - endless walks of all levels, cycling, fishing, skiing, and golfing. Visit the many tourist attractions, including Balmoral and Lochnagar distillery or go further afield over to Speyside or wander east towards the coastal city of Aberdeen.
Glenbardie Bothy was formerly a stable and garage, and was renovated to a high standard and offers on the ground floor, a large open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area, off which is a utility room, a bedroom and a bathroom. Two further bedrooms and a shower room are found on the first floor accessed by a handcrafted wood staircase.
The ground floor has underfloor central heating, and upstairs there are electric radiators.
Glenbardie Bothy is fully equipped had has an induction hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The latter being in the utility room, where there is a second sink.
