Thank you for your very positive review. It was a pleasure to have you as our guests.
A beautiful cottage in the lovely town of Ballater. Could not have wished for a more comfortable base for the week. The cottage is very clean and well equipped and both owners and host were more than helpful and accommodating. It’s even better than it sounds honestly!

Thank you for your kind review. We really appreciate it.
Another very enjoyable week in Ballater which really is a perfect base for numerous interesting walks around this corner of the Cairngorms. Angela made the booking process very straightforward and the accommodation itself is a very welcoming house to come back to after a day in the fresh air. Many thanks (again) - we loved it.

An amazing cottage!
Just got back from our stay at Glenbardie Bothy and all I can say is how amazing this place is. The location is perfect, the rooms were immaculate and nicely decorated, the living area spacious & the beds extremely comfortable.
I would love to go back! Please book this accommodation; you will not be disappointed!!
We were warmly welcomed to this quiet secluded property. It is in excellent condition, very comfortable and very convenient for walking into the village and for the surrounding countryside. We would love to come back!

Thank you for your kind review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay.
Lovely bothy that we used as a base whilst we fished on the River Dee. Tucked away off the Braemar Road but local enough to walk to the shops/supermarket/eateries of Ballater. Spacious, clean and tidy bothy that feels like its recently refurbished with car parking for 3 cars. I would certainly use again on future trips. Highly recommended!

Thank you for taking the time to post this lovely review. We are looking forward to welcoming back.
Lovely, clean, well equipped house. 5 mins walk from the centre of Ballater. Lovely walks along the River Dee and Craigendarroch Hill are also 5 mins away and well sign posted.
There are nice shops in Ballater, including very good butchers, ice cream and sweet shops.
We will definitely come back again.

Very pleased you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to your return
We could not have been happier (well, if they gave us a million dollars too)!!! The house was well off the road but a true 5 minute walk to many coffee/tea shops, restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. We ate out every night, had some drinks and walked home without worry at all. The local pub (Balmoral Bar) was super friendly and welcoming. The location allowed us to travel all over the Highlands! We will be back.
Well equipped, comfortable and fantastic location. Really great for a multi generational trip as grandma had her own downstairs bedroom and bathroom. Very comfy, quiet except for the lovely sound of owls in the woods. Just perfect. Well equipped, comfortable and fantastic location. Really great for a multi generational trip as grabdparents had their own downstairs bedroom and bathroom separated by a door from the family space. Plenty of room for teen age 15 to grandparent age 79 to spread out. Very comfy, quiet except for the lovely sound of owls in the woods. Excellent kitchen with air fryer (yay!) Just perfect.
Glenbardie Bothy is exceptionally comfortable. Set back from the main road,a real sun trap. Only five/ ten minutes( for slow walkers!) from the village centre. Lots of walks from the door. Only issue was low slanted ceilings upstairs in bedrooms. I banged my head several times. Downstairs was perfect. Highly recommend this property. The photos do not show how spacious it is downstairs.
Glenbardie Bothy was the perfect getaway for our family of five plus dog. Situated at the end of a gravel drive you could by miles from anywhere but in fact you are only a five minute walk to shops, cafes and restaurants.
The house itself has been renovated brilliantly with space for everyone to be together and also be able to hide away - with two teenagers this was ideal! The kitchen had everything you’d need and the utility room was great for being able to get some washings done after a day of gorge walking.
Ballater is a fantastic little town. We know it well and have holidayed there many times. Our dog had an absolute ball with the many different walks on offer - up hills, through forests and in the river!
I’d highly recommend a stay at Glenbardie Bothy, you don’t be disappointed.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Emily. It is very good to know that all the care we put into renovating the Bothy is appreciated. In fact, your description is better than ours......I think I will have to do some amendments.
Perfectly located, lovely and quiet, tucked back from the road and within easy walk of Ballater village. The property had everything we needed, well laid out, nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay at Glenbardie Bothy – highly recommend.
Wonderful accommodation in a quiet but central location.
A really well laid out property with modern amenities and comfortable furnishings etc. Quietly 'tucked away' off a main road but very convenient for the village centre and a great base for walking and sightseeing in this wonderfully scenic location.
Super property - lovely and quiet and off the road. Ballater is lovely and this suited us perfectly. Really enjoyed the week in a clean and very comfortable property. Would definitely go again
Stunning property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Lovely enclosed garden which is great if you have a dog. Great location shops and restaurants only a short walk away. Will definitely go back.
Had a great stay at the bothy with friends and dog Luna. Property is very modern but still gives you a cosy cottage feel. Very clean and well fitted out with all you need. Lovely drive up to the bothy so very quiet away from road. Great for the dog to explore the grounds in safety when closing the front gates. Close to centre of Ballater. Highly recommended.

This perfectly situated Bothy tucked back from the road at the bottom of Craigendarroch oozes charm. Beautifully furnished with slate and wooden floors and a fantastic open plan living space. We couldn't have been more comfortable. Highly recommend this property.
