Unwind on the arbor porch swing while watching the lake. Relax to the sound of waves from Adirondack chairs lining the two porches overlooking Lake Michigan. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner from the bluestone patio while watching the waves dance on the lake. At night, warm around the patio fire pit and toast marshmallows.

The open floor plan and amenities invite family togetherness. The living and dining area on first floor boast wall to wall windows overlooking the lake as well as a cozy window seat. There is seating for everyone at the large dining table. A gas fireplace adds to the ambiance. Quartz counters top the custom cabinetry of the well equipped kitchen.

The generous main suite bedroom features a wall of windows overlooking the lake with a king bed, private bath, and quiet sitting area. Two large bedrooms on the second floor each have 9 foot patio doors for a spectacular view and access to second floor deck. Each has a queen bed and its own private bath. Kids will delight to bed down in built in bead board bunks with nautical theme lighting and private bath. With 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, this home is perfect for families and grandparents.

Walnut floors throughout the house add charm with a custom walnut staircase reaching from the basement to the third floor. The finished basement with ping pong, flat screen TV, full laundry, and cozy seating area complete the home. There is also free fast WiFi with excellent extended range.

Access the privately owned beach by stairs off bluestone patio. Relax, listen to the waves, visit with friends, and enjoy the views from decks with seating built into the stairs. Stroll the shoreline for miles. Build sandcastles and memories with your kids. Enjoy watching the waves dance along the shore. The outside shower with heated water is perfect for washing off after a fun-filled day along the shore. Complete your beach day by playing games or relaxing on the patio and porches while watching spectacular sunsets.

If Pleasant View is on your list of potential VRBO’s to book, you should book it immediately. We absolutely loved this place and would go back. We had a group of 11 adults, and this place had plenty of room for everyone with room to spare. Highlights of this place are the back patio with plenty of space and seating, and the beach. We had the beach to ourselves and the house provided multiple beach chairs which is very convenient if you’re coming from out of town. Absolutely recommend this place.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view! Worked great for the 7 of us! Each bedroom has its own private bath which was great. Enjoyed the private beach, fire pit, grill and ping pong table. Our host (Jim) was very helpful and provided clear communication about everything needed. Great place to stay!

Beautiful home. Very clean and welcoming. Perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. The hosts were great to deal with. We had a wonderful time. Beautiful area with many things to do. My only comment would be that there are a lot of stairs to get to the beach - okay for the young at heart, but a lot for the grandparents.

Critical information was not in property informaion about number of steps (steep stairway) to beach which did not work for a famiy member. Previous stays in Michigan involved stairs, but we were able to carry her down. Here, this was not a safe choice. Our vacation was marred by smaoke from Canadian wildfires. This had nothing to do with the property itself but should perhaps be considered when traveling in northern states. Kitchen did not provide adequate work area for our large group, but other than that, the property was quite nice.

Pleasant View is a beautiful Lake Michigan home with incredible views from throughout the house. I always strive to serve my guests and to answer their questions. I am sorry about the Canadian wildfires. They were out of my control. I always enjoy talking to my guests and telling them about my home. We had a fantastic stay at this property. The house was beautiful, comfortable and made our trip even more enjoyable. One of the best parts was the direct beach access and the beautiful views of Lake Michigan, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The owners were friendly, proactive and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. Their attention and responsiveness gave us confidence that everything was taken care of and our stay was completely smooth. We had no issues or concerns during our visit and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone considering it.

Fantastic location directly on Lake Michigan, about 8-10 minutes North of South Haven. Beautiful home, functional layout, well built and clean. You can tell that the owners really care about the home and pay attention to the details. Incredible views (especially those Lake Michigan sunsets!). Access to the beach is typical of the area - house on bluff, so lots of steps down, but very nice beach below. Would definitely consider staying again!

Beautiful home on the lake

We loved walking down to Lake Michgan. The house sits on top of a bluff and was the perfect location for watching the sun set and roasting marshmellows on the fire pit. My family enjoyed a wonderful week here.

Lovely Family vacation spot

Our vacation with family of 11 what just great at the Mt. Pleasant home! It was the perfect size with all the amenities you could want in a rental. The home was beautifully appointed and beds were comfortable. We hope to be back!

Great house and view

We had a great stay. We planned a last minute trip and Jim was super helpful and responded quickly to all our questions. The house is great, clean, and the location is quiet. We loved the beach access and view from the house and the yard. We wouldn't hesitate to come again with just our family or a larger group!

Perfect Family Retreat

At 568 Mozart is a beautiful stately well furnished house with a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan and an amazing 179 step staircase to a very private beach. Would go back in a heart beat.

Nice Family Retreat

Great view of Lake Michigan. Wonderful access to Meijer and town for all your needs. Stairs workout to get to the beach. Beach has lots of rocks but there is a sand bar you can walk to for your water fun.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the beautiful views of Lake Michigan from almost every room in the house. We built Pleasant View with lots of windows in order to take advantage of the gorgeous lake scenery. The bluestone patio with a firepit and the two large decks also take advantage of the views. The shoreline is constantly changing. Most times the beach is all sand. Storms can change that overnight. Then it can be back to all sand again with the next storm. Currently, we have a band of rocks at the water with sand between them and the bluff. We own to the water and are glad to have a private beach to share with our guests. We are happy to hear you built wonderful family memories at our home and that Pleasant View was a special place for your nice family retreat.

Relaxing Beach Vacation

My husband and our 3 adult children spouses enjoyed a wonderful week of relaxing beach time. As mentioned in the listing..the sunsets were spectacular! The home was very clean and accommodated us well. It is hard to find homes with 4 bedrooms w/ensuite bathrooms. While not a necessity, everyone enjoyed having their own space. We found everything we needed to cook some meals at home and proximity to South Haven and Saugatuck made for an easy drive to dinner in town. A great family vacation..highly recommend!

Our family selected this property because of the quaint setting and beautiful beach. The mid-century beach neighborhood is comprised of single family homes and is in a very quiet wooded setting. We prized the serene location that was just minutes from the amenities of South Haven's bustling downtown.

Besides the beach and stunning sunsets over Lake Michigan, this home exudes charm from the moment you drive up to it. The private back yard with its two decks and bluestone patio invites you to sit and relax with a glass of iced tea while reading a book or chatting with friends and family. The arbor swing offers spectacular views of Lake Michigan, and the quiet setting provides the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway with family and friends.
