Review for stay from 27 July 2013 to 03 August 2013

A great hub to visit other places. The beaches at Viarregio are only 30 minutes away. Lucca is a 10 minute drive to the city center. Pisa, La Spezia, Firenze and many more towns are easy to reach. The cleaning lady comes twice a week. We were very happy with the airco in the bedrooms. At night there were a lot of mosquitos. The homeowner doesn't speak English, which can be difficult. Overall a great holiday.

We would like to thank the Salogi team for all your help in making our holiday at Broccolo such a success. You answered all our queries, however small, so quickly and efficiently. We enjoyed the sights around this beautiful part of Tuscany and your recommendations for shopping and restaurants were much appreciated. We loved the local places around Broccolo, the simple Tuscan food which we would never have found without your recommendations. The villa suited our needs perfectly. The photos do not do it justice. The grandchildren loved the pool and the air-conditioning during the second week of our holiday was much appreciated at night. We found the downstairs bedroom to be very comfortable and it stayed cool throughout.

Review for stay from 06 August 2022 to 13 August 2022

We stayed at Broccolo in August 2022. There were six in our party (aged between 24 and 59!). The villa was originally booked for August 2020 but had to be moved due to COVID. The villa itself is delightful and the pictures provided give a true representation. It is a rustic villa and to be fair we spent most of our time outside as the grounds and pool are delightful and very well maintained. The bedrooms are all air conditioned apart from the one in the basement - the basement room is very large and has a private seating area but is quite dark. The villa was cleaned twice whilst we were there - we had not expected this - and the cleaner was very friendly. Neither the owner nor the cleaner spoke much English. We did not have a car whilst we were there. This was our choice. We did not want to have to drive a big people mover. Instead we used the services of a 'tour' driver. His name was given to us by the letting agent in Italy and he was excellent (Francesco - Just in Case). We went to Pisa and Lucca with him on day trips, he took us to a wine tasting farm for an evening (Fattoria Al Dotto - excellent value and fun) and we also had two nights out for meals in Lucca. Taxis are not cheap - mind you neither is car hire - however we still spent less on taxis than we would have with a car. There was a supermarket 1km from the villa (door to door) and we went down every day to this. There is also a cake shop and a pizzeria in the village. We used both. The main road is quite busy but after 500m from the house there is a pavement and we did not find the walk onerous. ON reflection a car would give you greater flexibility to explore the countryside during the day but we were quite happy pottering around the villa and walking to neighbouring villages. We could not have used the car on an evening anyway as we all wanted to drink.

Een fantastisch huis

Wij als gezin hebben genoten van het prachtige huis . Het is exact als de foto presentatie. Ligging is perfect. Geweldig zwembad en tuin met daarin een pizza oven.

Beautiful place

Had lovely week , not far from local amenities, everything to hand. Oven was a bit of a let down ,but great hob & BBQ facilities outside. Great footage of queens funeral on TV , which I watched during our enjoyable stay.

Review for stay from 05 September 2020 to 12 September 2020

We had a lovely holiday at Villa Broccolo and I thought you might appreciate some feedback. The house and pool were wonderful and the location superb. The setting was beautiful, and the views of the countryside surrounding the villa were very beautiful indeed. There was so much to do and see, and it was only a shame we couldn't stay for longer. We enjoyed the time we spent in Lucca (and found one of your recommended restaurants which we went to twice!). Pisa was a treat and we enjoyed a day trip to Florence by train from Lucca - all very easy. The pizzeria and bar in the village were great, and the local supermarket was very handy. All in all, a great holiday house and definitely one of the very best we've ever stayed at. We were very comfortable indeed. Signor Baldocchi is a very friendly man but unfortunately language was a barrier, as you know! Thank you again for all of your help. We realise that we were very lucky to have a holiday this year with so many restrictions affecting other destinations around Europe. I hope that you and your colleagues and families remain safe and well. We would love to go back to Villa Broccolo one day!

We really enjoyed our stay organised by Salogi villas. They were always very polite and quick to respond to all questions and were able to advise on activities to do in the area. The price was very reasonable and the villa was beautiful. I would definitely recommend Salogi villas to a friend and would use their services again. Thank you very much!

The property is exactly like the photos - beautiful! In addition to being immaculately clean, it was close to a grocery and centrally located. It was also very close to Lucca, which ended up being our favorite town.

Review for stay from 28 June 2014 to 05 July 2014

The villa was spotless and well equipt. The bedrooms were spacious and had much welcomed air conditioning. We didn't do much sightseeing as the villa was such a peaceful haven, but its location was just a short drive to both Lucca and Pisa. A really lovely villa set in beautiful grounds which surpassed our expectations.

Review for stay from 17 September 2012 to 24 September 2012

This property was just as beautiful in real life as the pictures show. In face, I think it was even better. The villa was immaculate. The grounds were beautiful. And the owner, Armondo, was charming. It is evident that Armondo has put a lot of work into making this villa so wonderful. We all enjoyed our stay very much.
