Beacon Square, Emsworth - a family house that sleeps 8 guests in 3 bedrooms

Beacon Square is a large family house located only minutes from Emsworth sea front. Only a short walk to the water and minutes from the local restaurants, cafes and shops, Beacon Square is in an excellent spot to enjoy everything Emsworth, our beautiful harbour village, has to offer.
The house has a good-sized living and dining area which can be opened up to become one space, or close the double doors and you can section off the dining area from your living space. From the cosy lounge are two tall patio doors that open up onto the large garden. In the summer months the garden makes for a perfect spot to enjoy outdoor dining with two garden tables and enough chairs to seat the whole family. The television is a smart tv with facilities to log into your own netflix, amazon film etc. The television has freeview and there is a dvd player should you want to snuggle down with a movie in the evening after a long day of exploring.
Beacon Square's well equipped kitchen has everything you will need to effectively self-cater during your stay while not out at one of the many local independent restaurants. The kitchen includes, L'Or Coffee Machine, cooker with hob and double oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, two fridge's, two freezer's, dish washer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
On the first floor are three bedrooms, one double bedroom with a slight view out to the sea. The water is much clearer in the winter when the foliage is down! There is one twin bedroom, with put up bed in the cupboard, guests are free to use this but please let us know so we can make it up with linen and one bunk bed room with single bed on top and double bed on the bottom. (6 ADULTS ONLY)

Please note, this is a quiet residential area so please keep volume to a minimum and respect the neighbours. No single sex groups allowed at this property.

Beacon Square has one family bathroom on the first floor with shower only and a further WC can be found on the ground floor.
We request that you bring two cars only to the property and if you have a third vehicle please contact for us advice as to where you can park locally for free. Free wifi is available at the property.

perfect and cosy stay in Emsworth

At Beacon Square we had a pleasant stay, with comfortable sofas and beds. Kitchen is well equipped, with washing machine and tumbler. Beds really comfay. Situated in a quiet area, but everything within short walking distance.

Relocation long stay

Firstly have to say Henry Adams staff have been amazing as due to our house sale falling through we could extend our stay no problem. The house is in a perfect location and lovely garden for the pups, great gardener and communication with HA staff.. The home is very dated and unfortunately uncomfortable (we ordered a sofa early just to have somewhere comfortable to relax ) I didn’t feel it was cleaned very well when we arrived but that was rectified quickly! For a long weekend it’s a good base as such a beautiful walk into Emsworth and shoreline . Long stay needed updates - carpets - toilets - main bed as uncomfortable… Kitchen well stocked Lots of towels and bedding Just all very old and tired

Très bon pied à terre à Emsworth près des sentiers côtiers. Pratique, au calme dans très beau quartier. Dommage pour les moquettes si vous êtes allergique aux acariens !

Big house but cleanliness and maintenance need attention

This is a lovely big property in a great location for local amenities. However cleanliness is poor. Carpets were stained and crockery and cutlery grimy. Cobwebs at the corners of windows and generally seemed neglected. The barbecue was unusable as it was covered in overgrown plants as was the garden seat. There is a table and chairs in the garden which is fairly good quality but again we had to clean it all before we could use it. Poor value for money

The house was in a lovely village with easy access to the beach and Portsmouth. Ideal for our family get together. Couldn’t of asked for anything better for the money.

Superb location - 10 minute walk into Emsworth and 5 minutes to the harbour. Staff helpful when I needed some flexibility in the booking.

A week at Beacon Square

We found Beacon Square to be more than adequate for our week in Elmsworth. The property had everything we needed, was warm, comfortable and well located in a quiet street, a short walk to the front and walking paths. Easy to get to the town and all in all, very pleasant.

Weekend break

Sadly cobwebs on the kitchen ceiling dirty windows in the lounge which we had to clean. No welcome pack like on previous visits. Rest of the house was clean however. Basic comfort. Handy for visiting Portsmouth and surrounding areas. Have Stayed before but will not be back

Relaxed vacation in a quiet residential area

Emsworth is a nice village. The house is very near to the sea. If you want to visit London from there you can take the train without changes. Arundel Castle was superb! Beautiful nature everywhere.

Great Location, with a couple of tweaks could be fabulous

Lovely location and well laid out house. The sea is only a couple of hundred yards away, and there’s no traffic noise so making for a nice break. Furniture and equipment not as good as could be; no egg cups & better than airplane standard cutlery would cost little to do. Toilet seats need fixing I’d go back but probably be better prepared.

Happy Holiday

A wonder position for a holiday, 2/3 minute walk to the coast, and a 8/10 walk to the town centre. The house was loved by adults and children. A most relaxing and quiet neighbourhood. Everything you need for that special holiday.

3 month day at Beacon Square

We had a 3 month booking at Beacon Square, Emsworth. Lovely house with fantastic location. Plenty of room for a family. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

O.K.-but.

This house is in a very quite location but only a short walk from Emsworth. There are however, two things that need to be corrected in this house. The first is the mattresses, they are so soft that I think they need to be replaced, after a few nights I was sleeping on the floor. The second item is the upstairs toilet seat, it needs the attention of a competent handyman. Would I stay here again, probably not.

Thank you for taking the time to review. If you had let us know about any problems with the toilet seat we would have of course sent someone over to repair any damage right away. I am sorry if you had any problems with it. We will send our handyman over to look at this and fix. We have not received complaints in respect of the mattresses before and they are still relatively new. Rest assured we will check this too and report back to the property owner to replace if necessary. Please do get in touch if you are visiting the area again.

Overseas visit

Beacon square was a perfect location for our vacation rental. We traveled to England from the U.S. to visit my husbands grandparents and with two young kids needed our own space. The house was clean and well stocked. Kids dishes and cups were a nice surprise. The house is well maintained and the garden is gorgeous. If it didn't rain, we would have really enjoyed it, The house is a short distance to town and I enjoyed the walk every morning. We would stay here again. My own suggestion would be to add a hair dryer. Coming from the U.S., I learned before my hairdryer does not work with a converter. Not a big deal for other visitors from the U.K. But would be a nice addition for guests. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location

A lovely location just a few minutes walk from the coast and town of Emsworth. Nice welcome pack on arrival. Lovely enclosed garden for our dog to enjoy. Very peaceful and a great place to unwind.
