It is surrounded by beautiful gardens full of vibrant colourful, sweet scented flowers and various fruit trees. With comfort a requisite, shaded areas with seating and facilities for al fresco dining are plentiful. To ensure guests’ enjoyment is attended to, British TV channels, two Jacuzzi baths, housekeeping service, towels, bedding and a fully equipped kitchen are provided. Relish the breath-taking views of the sea in one direction, and the Monchique mountain range in the other from the sizeable top terrace. The friendly town of Carvoeiro is a convenient 5-10 walk from Casa Joy, and has everything you need from a clean, pretty, sandy beach to an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops to suit every taste and purse. A useful mini supermarket is a couple of minutes’ walk, just around the corner.

We live primarily in the UK (Surrey) and we bought this home in November 2006. It needed total refurbishment, which we have done over the years. Every bathroom has been replaced, the swimming pool and area has been renewed, it's been re wired, new air conditioning, re painted to name just a few improvements that we have done. All improvements have been done with love and care, as we regard this, and Carvoeiro as a very special second family home. We have three children; aged 22, 20 and 16 and they have enjoyed many happy times here and love visiting their second home as much as they can. Our villa holds many special memories for us, our friends and family.

Why they chose this property

It had an instant welcoming, homely feel to it when we walked in and it is surrounded by secure, beautiful gardens. The accommodation is spacious and typically Portuguese. It is set in a very quiet position, opposite open fields. It is the most elevated villa in Carvoeiro and has gorgeous views towards the sea and Monchique mountains. It is also easy walking distance to the town and beach.

What makes this property unique

The location is unique and central. It enjoys gorgeous views from numerous terraces, and sits in a good size plot with stunning, well looked after gardens. It has a private, heated pool and the accommodation is spacious and well maintained. It is also within walking distance of Carvoeiro town, and driving distance of many popular attractions.
