Both the bathroom and kitchen have recently been refurbished to a high standard. Wonderfully light and spacious, the barn has original exposed beams and a rustic feel. There are two bedrooms, one double with a super king size bed and one single with a single bed and a mattress is also available. Uniquely located on the Clarendon Way, the ancient Pilgrims route between the iconic cathedrals towns of Winchester and Salisbury. Please note that the Barn is not suitable for under 4s.

Lovely accommodation much bigger than we expected! Clean, well equipped and great location especially for quality time with your family and dog, would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed this beautiful location, the barn was very big and had all the facilities you need, great walks and locations near by would recommend this to any family
We loved our 2 night stay at Blacklake Farm luxury barn. The host was lovely and we enjoyed the local walks and pub lunch experience nearby. Highly recommend.
Well equipped spacious accommodation in an old dairy barn, refurbished with taste and a love for detail, immersed in the quietude of a beautiful natural environment - just pleasantWe loved it and would have stayed longer - time permitted.
We had a lovely stay with brilliant weather over the weekend. Perfect for us and mother in law who is 91. Loved the gorgeous location by the river.Managed the walk to Mottisfont. - not ML of course.
3 ladies who were looking to drink tea and chat in beautiful rural countryside home yet appreciative of the proximity to Winchester town for shops/eating out. It was just what we were looking for.
Another wonderful stay in the barn, Ingrid made us so welcome and the barn is so comfortable. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area, Thank you.
From outside of the green garden gate the property seemed bland however once through the green gate the barn and the secret garden were just fantastic. The layout of the property and its facilities were very good and all the rooms were clean and tidy. All the information we needed for the barn and surrounding area were contained in the comprehensive booklet and the hosts were available (mobile) if needed. A very peaceful location in which to relax. Its location allowed us to easily visit Salisbury, Winchester, Stockbridge and Beaulieu. Making our stay very enjoyable.
The whole property is beautifully furnished and appointed. Very well equipped kitchen with nice crockery, utensils, etc and loads of space, including dining area. Nice bathroom with very good shower. Really comfortable bed. Plenty of space to relax in comfort. Very dog friendly.
The cottage is situated in a beautiful unspoilt location surrounded by water meadows with just the owners farmhouse next door. The standard of decoration and fittings are excellent Just be warned that there is no vehicular access from Houghton as Google maps indicates. Follow the owners detailed instructions and approach from Kings Sombourne. The access route is in a long track but so worthwhile once you arrive
The barn was such a fantastic place to stay well equipped with everything we needed. The garden was lovely and peaceful for breakfast in the morning and the living room cosy and comfortable in the evening. It's location was perfect for visiting Winchester and Salisbury. The track leading to the house was interesting being quite uneven but taken slowly added to the charm of the property and enjoyment of our stay. Charles and Ingrid were great hosts and we would definitely book again.
We spent 3 weeks at Ingrid's place and had an amazing stay. The place really provides for everything you need from cooking utensils to dryer and dishwasher, full bathroom and comfortable beds. A highlight for us in the winter months was the fireplace. Ingrid and her husband made sure we had everything we needed and even organised firewood for us. We loved the rural location of the place and felt right at home. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
We both needed to unwind and we certainly did. 5 days of bliss. The barn was spacious, light and very comfortable and to be away from bustle, traffic and the demands of modern life even for a short time was balm for the soul. The garden, the birdsong including cuckoos, the deer, the trout streams, woodland paths and stunning skies, all added to our pleasure. Our little reactive dog was the most relaxed I have seen her. Thank you to our hosts. You have created a little paradise.
Lovely property, despite being a little off the main road, we followed the comprehensive instructions and the place was easy to locate. We enjoyed being away from any main roads, the peace and quiet was lovely. The home itself, is spacious and clean, equipped with everything we needed. Great communication from the owners, who were responsive and helpful. We loved getting visits from "Poppy" their friendly dog and sitting in the garden with a morning cuppa was blissful.
The photos don't do the barn justice - it really was perfect for us and outdid our expectations.
It was warm, spacious, clean, light, and extremely well equipped (kitchen).
Always hot water for bath/shower with excellent water pressure.
A particularly comfortable bed!
Beautiful private outlook onto the garden, lots of walking routes available from the front door. Walking distance to a fantastic pub (The Boot).
Highly recommend this property :)
