About this property

WALK TO THE BEACH!! First floor condo, fully renovated

The Spa on Port Royal sound is a gated resort, located in the "heel" of this beautiful, foot-shaped island. It is found at the end of Beach City Road, in a quiet, secluded, natural setting but very close to anything you need.

This first floor condo has been newly renovated throughout. There is a well-stocked kitchen with new appliances and new bathrooms, both with tubs and showers. Both the master bedroom & guest bedrooms have comfortable beds. The living room and bedrooms have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs and there is a DVD player in the living room. The condos have Wi-Fi. We provide high quality towels and linens including beach towels. Everything you need is here including soaps, detergents for dishes, dishwasher and laundry, paper towels, and toilet paper. Should there be a day with rain, you can also enjoy family board games, or choose a book from our "mini" library ( take a book to keep and/or leave a book!) There is a fully remodeled inside pool in the middle of our complex as well as a hot tub and sauna & fitness room with new equipment. The dining area can seat 6 people with 2 extra wooden folding chairs in guest room closet. The lanai is a cozy, new & comfortable space to relax, with new opening windows with screens.

The Spa has 2 outdoor pools, (one near the beach,) as well as the heated indoor pool, all with bathrooms and Wi-Fi. The complex has many charcoal grills and picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds and 3 tennis courts as well as a basketball court and small playground. It's a 3-4 minute stroll to the private, natural beach, or you can drive & park if you have a lot to carry. At the beach there is a pier, with seating. It's a fun place to explore, fish from shore or go clamming. Hilton Head Island completed a sand renourishment program in June 2016, which happens every 10 years. If you want to spend a day on a traditional public beach with lifeguards, there are 3 or 4 located close by within a 5 minute drive.

This was a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked the owner very nice and easy to communicate with. They even left us a small meal and a card as a celebration of our marriage. Nice grounds a walk to the ocean with a beautiful pier and swing. Place very quit and great location!!!

Great relaxing long weekend

Great stay for a relaxing long weekend. Location is quiet and peaceful, yet a short drive to everything Hilton Head has to offer. Condo is super clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need.

Peaceful stay at secluded beach

The property was FULLY stocked!! I mean they have everything you could possibly need!! The place was clean! Check in and check out were easy!! We had the best time here, especially exploring the beach at low tide!! We drove over to Burkes Beach for swimming which was only 10 mins away!! Thanks for a great first experience!!

The anchor to a great vacation

The thing about vacation is being able to have a “home” away from home. A place you feel comfortable in in the morning and a place you can rest in at the end of a long day, whether you were at the beach or biking, shopping, whatever. Staying here made our vacation a great relaxing stay. Very Nice!

We had a lovely stay at The Spa. The condo had everything we needed, and we loved exploring the natural beach. Looking back at past reviews, I can’t believe people complained about the airplanes and feral cats. We loved watching the airplanes flying over each day and spotting all the kitties.

Best friend get away

Very quiet and loved being on the end of the building. Enjoyed sitting on back porch, which we loved the flooring on it! Very convenient location to beach, shopping, and going out to eat. My best friend and I will probably be back next year!

The condo was so nice. They thought of every need we could possibly have. There was plenty of space and it was in a safe area. Everything on the island was close and only a short drive. The pool in the complex was huge and had plenty of chairs. Our only complaint was that the condo was on the side of the sound (intracoastal waterway) and not the Atlantic Ocean. However, the ocean was a short drive and there were public beach accesses that you could park at and walk to the beach. Overall truly enjoyed staying at this condo.

cozy bang for your buck

very cute cozy place. provided beach towels and a lot of beach accessories available. Probably the best deal I found in Hilton head with beach access. the walk to the beach is short enough that its not a hassle and only annoying if you forget something. Good wifi signal for working if you have to. the indoor pool was nice and deserted. my daugher loved the play ground. The beach is very picturesque and quiet too. I took some great photos of my family. Only cons I could see were the long list of rules with the hoa i found a bit intimidating. not a place to host a bachelorette party. if you have a terrible demon spawn toddler like me, all the pretty knick knacks at arms reach will give you a heart attack. luckily no breaks :) this was our first time to hilton head and we had a very relaxing vaca. I would stay here again. thank you!

Great family beach trip

Our family of 5 had a great stay here! The condo was clean and beds were comfortable, AC worked well, well stocked kitchen, and it was great to have the beach equipment provided. The area was quiet and safe, and the beach was practically empty every time we went. Some things to note: 1. There are no pets allowed, but there are a TON of stray cats around the property. Not a big deal for most, but our 3 year old was terrified of them, so just something to consider. 2. There are no locks on either of the bedroom doors, and the deadbolt on the front door didn't work. 3. This is probably not the best place to stay if you have very young children. We stayed with a 1, 3, and 5 year old, and it was so stressful trying to keep their hands off of all the breakables. There were small decorations and trinkets everywhere! We moved as much as we could to higher places or inside cabinets, but then by the end of the week couldn't remember where everything came from to be able to put it back. I had seen a previous review that mentioned breakables and the owners commented that they weren't concerned about things getting broken, but of course as a parent you never want your children to break something belonging to someone else, not to mention it's not safe to have broken glass around crawling babies/barefoot children. 4. Beware that the condo is very close to the airport, so you will see/hear airplanes. We didn't notice the noise inside the condo at all though, so it wasn't an issue for us. 5. This is a first floor condo, but there are a few stairs to get up to the porch area, which was not ideal for the beach wagon. Also something to consider if your party has a wheelchair or stroller, or someone who can't do any stairs. 6. There is a basketball court on the property and a basketball was provided in the condo. My 5 year old was super excited to play basketball so we walked to the court only to find that one end had no backboard/hoop at all, and the other end had a broken one, so he wasn't able to play basketball. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and have no complaints about the condo. Would recommend for sure! Probably just best for older children, and it's a fairly small space so I wouldn't recommend for more than 4 people personally.

Beautiful beach condo

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at this beach condo. Spotless, everything we needed was there, nice quality linens, cute beach decor. It was a 5 minute walk to beach. Its a natural beach, crabs, bird's, fish, lovely and quiet. Definitely would book again.

Property was the perfect size for our family (2 kids under 5). Very convenient first floor corner unit made our daily excursions that much easier. Washer/dryer was awesome to have in the unit. Daughters LOVED the decor.

Wonderful family time!

We had another amazing stay. This summer was even lovelier than last summer. The condo is so nicely furnished and stocked in the kitchen. The sunroom is everyone’s favorite place to relax before and after a beautiful day at the beach or pool. We already can’t wait to go back next year.

We are a retired couple from western N.Y. state. We used to visit the island when our son owned a condo on the island and we fell in love with Hilton Head.
Chris was a small business owner and Eileen was a special education teacher.

Why they chose this property

The Spa on Port Royal Sound appealed to us because it has a private beach and a view of both the Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. Also, it has an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna which we did not find in other similar sized complexes.

What makes this property unique

We chose to buy our condo where we did because of the natural beach with white egrets, shore birds and even eagles. The beach is always changing and looks a little bit different every time we come to the condo, but it is always beautiful and unique.
