The lake house was great with a wonderful view of the river. The host was very responsive and we enjoyed our stay. Would book this again if in the area.
We loved the house. It had some really neat architectural features. The view was amazing. Brian was terrific. When one of the televisions had an issue he brought a new one the next day and when the power on the washer didn't come on he came the same day and fixed it. Overall a great experience.
Rented both sides for a few days to keep us close to daughters wedding venue and allow room for parents and others. Was very peaceful, all the amenities that you need and a very beautiful view of the river and sunset. Saw bald eagles everyday as they perched in a tree right in front of the house about every night. Over all a great place. We may go back just for a relaxing getaway, even though we're only an hour away and we live in the country, this place was even quieter and more relaxing with the view.
We have stayed at this property multiple times but never in the summer. While it is always a great stay, this property is amazing in the summer. We enjoyed being outside on the deck all day watching the boats, bald eagles and butterflies on the bushes. It’s always such a relaxing stay which is why we keep coming back. This year we got to see all the improvements Brian and Karen made. Fresh paint, new flooring, new outdoor seating and a new hot tub to name a few. Thank you guys again for another relaxing stay and we will be back next year!
All my friends were raving about this place, and it definitely lived up to the hype! We usually use another platform when booking our weekend getaways, but our experience here was exceptional. The house is beautiful and was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, with gorgeous views of the lake and mountainside. The location was also great for exploring the area. It’s only about a 30-minute drive from the Turkey Hill Ice Cream Factory and the fascinating Indian Steps Museum, which were fun additions to our trip. The only small surprise was that there weren’t any body wash or shampoo provided in the bathrooms, which we’re used to having at other stays, but it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. We enjoyed our stay so much that friends who saw our posts are already asking us about the house and wanting to stay here themselves. We would definitely recommend it!
I can’t say enough good things about this place! It is a beautiful house in a beautiful location. The kitchen was probably the best-stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. The sleeping areas were plentiful and worked well for our mix of babies, kids, and adults. The giant sectional in the living room was big enough for our whole extended family to hang out on, and the kids enjoyed flopping around and getting buried in pillows :)Oh my goodness that deck, though! So spacious, with lots of seating, a nice hot tub, and a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River plus sunsets. We spent lots of time out there, as well as down by the water. We didn’t really use them, but I loved all the entertaining spaces, too. There are two wet bar areas, in addition to the main kitchen. If you are a light sleeper, be aware that the trains come through a few times a day, mostly at night. The house is really well soundproofed though, and they didn’t bother us (including the sleeping babies!)Oh, and they have a great library! Large bookcase along the basement stairs, opposite the old stone wall. Plenty of good options for kids and adults. We could have very easily been happy spending many more days here. Thanks for sharing your place, Brian and Karen!
We had a wonderful stay in this home. It is well stocked with everything in the kitchen you could possibly use. The hot tub was amazing. There was lots of room in the living area. The beds were comfortable. The views were magnificent. We did see the Eagle a few times. We would love to stay here again. Anyone that stays here will have a great time! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your home.
Beautiful house and property! We really enjoyed the hot tub and getting to stay warm while looking up at the stars. Would highly recommend staying here and visiting the Lancaster area, lots to do and explore.
The host was excellent. The place is a hidden gem. I went here for a guys' weekend, and we really enjoyed the variety of activities onsite and in the area. The open floor plan was a big plus.
An absolutely delightful experience. The house is wonderful, the hosts were wonderfully friendly and accessible, truly a fantastic time. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip.
We had a wonderful time at this property. The views were amazing, the house was clean and comfortable, and we look forward to staying here again in the future!
