A beautifully renovated place amazingly situated right in the harbour area.

We had a lovely time enjoying relaxing in this beautiful property. Exactly what we needed after busy travelling around England. The house was very comfortable with everything we needed and was well positioned being close to the Coop and plenty of ice cream shops and fish and chip places!! Dropping off luggage was a little tricky but well worth the effort in order to be close to the action.

Short Easter Break

We stayed here with our 2 dogs for a much needed post-winter break. We were delighted with the location - stones throw from the harbour so easy access to everything and some great walls with dogs. The property was well equipped and plenty of space for us. The parking was the biggest challenge as it was a busy tourist weekend but this was expected (clearly detailed in the listing).

Wonderful vacations

The house is just 2 minutes away from Brixham harbour and a short walk to the local beach. The house was a bit hard to find, because it is located in a tiny street, without any parking space. This is the only downside. You always have to park your car away from the house. Other than that we had a perfect stay. The house was nice and clean, all appliances worked perfectly. Enough equipment to prepare a meal. All in all I would recommend this house and the host Sarah.

Good but a little extra and it could be excellent

The location is great for just walking out but you do have to organise yourself well re parking. The house was clean but some of the hob did not work. The washing machine tray was moulding and back decking needed sweeping and checking as previous people had been smoking and left cigarettes butts on window cill

About the host

Your host

We live in Brixham with our two dogs, Sid and Cilla. We love the area with it's beautiful beaches and coastal walks. We make the most of what the area has to offer throughout the year. In the summer we regularly go swimming in the sea or in the outdoor seawater pool which is 20 minutes walk from the cottage. We also regularly go out in our canoe, kayaks or paddleboards. We also love sailing and regularly on Yacht races in the area. During the winter months we go for long walks with our two dogs but still try and get out on the water as much as we can

Why they chose this property

We love the location of the property. Everything you need is close by. Once you've parked your car you shouldn't need it again until you are ready to leave at the end of your stay.

The SW coast path passes less than 50 yds from the property. Turn right on the coast path and you get to the Breakwater and beach, Shoalstone outdoor pool, the Berry Head nature reserve then on to the beautiful St Mary's bay and eventually Dartmouth. Turn left on the coast path you pass the busy Brixham fish market, Fishcombe cove, Churston Cove then on to Elberry Cove, Broadsands and on to Paignton and Torquay.

All the main pubs, bars and restaurants are within 10 minutes walk from the property.

The Brixham museum, the Golden Hind replica sailing ship and the ferries and sightseeing cruise boats are all within 10 minutes walk.

The bus station is also only 10 minutes walk from the property. Frequent busses leave for Paignton, Torquay and Newton Abbot and Kingswear (for Dartmouth and the scenic railway to Paignton).
