Why they chose this property

Crail House sits on the commanding site of a twelfth century Royal Castle, of which only a small part remains. The house is still referred to locally as “the castle” and the nearby street names reflect its history.

The house today was built in 1871 by Frederick Thomas Pilkington (1832-1898) the renowned architect. Today the three apartments: Garden View, Harbour View and Sea View are available as holiday lettings and can be booked individually or together.

Crail House stands in impressive grounds extending to more than an acre in an elevated position overlooking the sea, the May Island, and the picturesque harbour of Crail. The views are exceptional.
