Staff was friendly and helpful! The house was out of a magazine! It faced the ocean, it was surrounded by palm trees, and beauful pink flowers. The neighborhood was quiet. Across the street was a hotel and they kindly called a cab for us, without hesitation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved this house. It had all the amenities youcould ask for in a vacation home. The open living concept was great and the pool was in constant use. Hats off to Mr. Ramiro who was there 3 days a week to clean the pool and property grounds. The kitchen was stocked with everything a cook could need. There is also no need for a car as taxis are readily available from the hotel below.I would highly recommend this place to all friends and family.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the third time we've traveled to Huatulco and have used MHV to find a rental property. For the third time, the place was absolutely stunning. A gorgeous villa where the amazing pictures you see don't do the place justice. The views are amazing and the "perch" that overlooks the pool and the coast is breathtaking. The staff was great and took care of our every need and made sure we knew everything we needed to know to fully enjoy our week. It's just too bad it had to end so quickly! Looking forward already to next year!!

Outdoor living with indoor comforts

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at Bella Vista. The outdoor kitchen under the palapa was nicely balanced with lovely air conditioned bedrooms all with on suite bathrooms for comfortable sleeping. It was hot and humid while we were there in late November so the pool was so useful and wonderfully warm. The cleaning staff were exceptionally pleasant and whenever we had questions the main villa contact person was also wonderful. A couple of minor issues were: the safe was not functioning and never got serviced as promised. Also we purchased our own extra toilet paper and paper towels as there was not enough available. Lastly we had daily visits by the local wildlife looking for food in the outdoor kitchen so it was imperative to keep everything put away behind locking doors including the garbage. We didn’t mind but it took a few days to get used to that routine. The location of the villa was in a lovely neighborhood above the backside of a hotel. There was easy access to the restaurant and coffee shop from the hotel, and a beautiful neighborhood beach with great snorkeling. We had rented a car to explore but one could take taxis to town with ease. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Bella Vista.

Response from VrboOwner on 11 Dec 2025

Thank you very much for sharing your comments with us. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving. We will be reviewing the safe carefully—thank you for bringing this to our attention. Regarding the toilet paper, we’re very sorry if the welcome supply was not enough. Since our service is not hotel-based, we provide only initial amenities to support your arrival, but we understand the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. As for the local wildlife, this area is surrounded by beautiful nature, so occasional visits can be common. Even so, we will continue doing everything possible to manage this and help maintain a comfortable environment for our guests. Thank you again for all your comments and for letting us know what you enjoyed during your stay as well. It truly helps us do better.

1004 - Villa Bellavista I) located in Huatulco, Oaxaca

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for 5 weeks from Feb 1 to March 7 , 2020 .The property was even nicer than the pictures showed . It has a lot better view of the ocean than the pictures. There are currently 2 large condos being built next to the Punta Arrocito condos depending on how tall they are going to be they could restrict a portion of the view in that direction. But there is still plenty of ocean view we even saw whales on several occasions . We really like the open concept living area there was almost always a nice breeze blowing in that made it very comfortable . The master bedroom has an awesome view and very spacious area. The 2 downstairs bedroom are very nice also. All bedrooms have their own AC . The pool and pool area is very nice with a restroom next to it very convenient . They have a Gardner who watered the plants and took care of the pool daily . He came at 9:00 am did his work and left usually a he was there maybe a couple of hours . He was a really nice guy if he happened to be there when we had grocery's etc to carry in he always helped us. Jonathon was the property manager . He was prompt to answer our emails and phone calls to answer any questions etc we had. He was very lien ant on our check in and out time. Gaby was the guest services person also great to work with. Very helpful / helping us find restaurants , hair salons , shopping , etc. . If I had to say one negative thing it would be it takes a long time to get hot water in the showers . I would definitely rent this house again it is in a great / safe location with cabs readily available. I hope this review was helpful

Bellavista 1

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved the architecture of this home and the landscape was beautiful. I was disappointed that the ocean view is now blocked due to a hotel built in front of it. I was also disappointed by the makeshift fence that has been put up which hinders the view even more. I was disappointed that there was no real oven on the property. The small countertop oven that we were given did not work, so we only had a cooktop and the Barbecue. There were large ants everywhere, crawling all over the countertops and floors. We also had 3 scorpions in the home and 2 tarantulas, I feel the homes bug issues need to be addressed. Very minimal floating devices for the pool, I was happy I brought two with me, which I left there when we left because of the 3 that were with the home two of them had leaks. So at least now the home has a couple more for the next renters. The exposed garbage cans in the kitchen were also a real eyesore to the home. The location was very close to downtown only a short drive away, and the beach was also a short walk away, but if you have mobility issues this is not the home for you to rent, as there are many stairs and the walk to the beach is a steep hill. The enclosed garage was also very nice if you have a rental vehicle.

Response from VrboOwner on 27 May 2022

Hello Jennifer, thank you so much for your feedback, we appreciate it a lot and see it as an opportunity to help improve the stay of future guests! We would have loved to hear the issues you had with the house during your stay, so we could have taken immediate actions to fix them. The main goal of My Huatulco Vacation is to deliver the best vacations possible for our guests. Please know that after your departure and upon receiving this review/feedback, our team worked in collaboration with the property manager to coordinate a thorough walkthrough of the home; including a full fumigation. Though Huatulco is a tropical destination and therefor susceptible to tropical wildlife, what you experienced is not a regular occurrence for this property and we regret that your stay was affected. Regarding the view, although the photos accurately depict the view from the property, unfortunately there were material delays preventing the owner from proceeding with the planned/permanent privacy wall. This will be addressed as soon as possible! For now, the photos show the privacy wall as it appears today. Again, we truly appreciate your honest feedback and are pleased that although you had some hiccups during your stay, you valued the service provided by our team highly. We are looking forward to hosting you again with the goal of delivering a fantastic stay. My Huatulco Vacation Team

Overall good, several pros and cons

Pros: - easy check in - kind and helpful employees - well equipped kitchen, laundry and bathrooms - very clean - private pool was great Cons: - a hotel is being built right in front of the property, blocking the view of the ocean. The photos on the listing are prior to the construction, so we were disappointed to arrive and see a fence blocking the view. We could still see the ocean from other spots on the property, but the main view is gone. Something to think about: - a cab ride is needed to get to shops, bars, cafes. - property wouldn’t suit a family with kids under 8. There are lots of places where there aren’t fences or hand rails (inside and in the pool and garden). - when booking through My Huatulco Vacactions, skip the drink package. Cheaper and better option is to head to the store and buy your own supplies.

Response from VrboOwner on 21 Apr 2023

Hi Timothy, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience and for your honest feedback - it is extremely valuable to us as we always strive to deliver exceptional experiences. In terms of the construction, we are truly sorry that there was a change to the neighbouring lots between the time that you initially reserved and when you arrived to the villa. Unfortunately this was something outside of our and the owner's control. Though this was communicated in advance of arrival - we understand and appreciate that it was disappointing news to have to hear and arrive to. Construction is now 100% complete and has been for some time; all images in the gallery are depicting the current view from the villa. You're correct that many people find it preferable to take a taxi - the good news is that they are easy to come by along the main road and less than $2 USD will get you into town. There is also a fantastic restaurant just down the road - about a 15 minute walk - called Ocean Bar & Grill. Finally, the optional package that you're referring to is intended for travellers who are looking to arrive to drinks and pantry items already pre-stocked in the home verses needing to go to the grocery store after a long travel day. It is something that many of our guests enjoy, however you are right that it is more cost effective in principle to do your own grocery shopping as there is no associated service fee. That is the best part of private vacation rentals, you can design your ideal set-up to suite your unique preferences and vision! We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back in the future. Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from two weeks at the aptly named Villa Bella Vista and had a fantastic time. The layout of the villa was great with lots of room for 6 adults. Rooms were separated nicely with well functioning air conditioning, an ensuite in each and comfortable beds. The outdoor great room under the palapa was where we spent the majority of our time along with the pool as we soaked up the sun and the wonderful views of the surrounding properties as well as the ocean. The washroom by the pool along with the BBQ were also nice touches. House was located in a convenient spot in Huatulco, less than a 10 minute walk to Arrocito Beach or the main road into town, both Tangolunda and the town square were also walkable if you were feeling adventurous. House was clean and well maintained and the area was safe.

The two lower bedrooms are smallish but comfortable. The Master is great with wonderful views. We rarely left the premises. We cooked. Watched the stars.
