Quiet location in a lovely area. Centrally located on a bus line that will get you anywhere. Accommodations were adequate the bed in the main bedroom was not comfortable. One of the curtains was down in the living room. There is black mold in the bathroom around the skylight and the tub enclosure. Not enough toilet paper or bath towels provided for a weeks stay. No paper towels or wash cloths provided.Overall it was a nice property. Just in need of some TLC.

Dear Carol,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you appreciated the location and convenient access to transportation options. We’re sorry the bed comfort did not meet your expectations. Regarding the mentioned essentials, we provide them for the first days of your stay.
About the bathroom cleanliness, this is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. Your comments have been shared with our housekeeping team to ensure this matter is addressed promptly.
We appreciate your comments and feedback which help us improve our service.
Warm regards,
JOIVY Team
Good location, restaurants and groceries nearby. Older unit but good space and amenities.
Had a leaky bathroom sink but were able to use the contact number and advise Joivy of the problem right away, good response time.

The flat was clean, warm and well appointed. The check-in procedure a nightmare. Please note there are no red stickers on the correct key safe. Not easy to use once identified, it was empty once open! The help desk was very helpful & contacted the cleaner who popped out of the flat ten minutes later. She was still cleaning at 4.30, we should have had access at 3. It took us roughly 45 minutes to gain access, most of that standing in the wind and rain. Luckily for us one of the residents came home and let us into the hallway. She mentioned this was not the first time it had happened. We were almost at the point of thinking we would have to find somewhere else to stay. This is my second experience with this company. The first was this September when they cancelled the flat I had booked a year in advance for my niece’ s wedding and then had to find somewhere with a weeks notice, at considerable expense. It will be my last. A little more human interaction and a little less tech would have been welcome too.

Cute place
The property was cute, clean and felt like home with all of the extra touches.
The only issue we had was communicating with the property manager as they weren’t responding to messages through the vrbo website. I had to call vrbo customer service and they had to call the manager. Kind of a hassle when all I need was the entry passcode.
This flat was a true home-away-from home! Perfect for two couples, a group of friends or a family. The area had lots of cafes, nice food shops, restaurants and trendy boutiques. Here you can experience living like a local within a quick walk to the New Town area of Edinburgh. The Old Town is also walkable (within 30 minutes) or a quick cab ride away. Beds were comfortable but a bit on the firm side. Loved the bathroom but a heated floor would have been nice. Also there are some stairs to the flat so not ideal for those with mobility issues. However, these are very small flaws compared to the benefits. We loved our stay!
Lovely property in a great location. Lots of shops, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep and a bus into the city stops just around the corner. It’s about a 25 minute walk into the city. Inverleith Park and the Edinburgh Botanic Gardens are a few minutes walk away and the Water of Leith walkway is a pretty local walk.
The flat is quiet at night, however the blind in the front bedroom did not work and the curtains were thin so the back bedroom might be best if you like a dark room for sleeping.
Altido Scotland were great to deal with and responded quickly to resolve an issue with the hot water for the bath and adjusted the timer. Heating was good and the flat was lovely and warm.
The flat had all that you need for a lovely stay, however I could not find a hairdryer, so was glad I had brought my own with me. Comfortable furniture and bed.
Overall, a lovely place to stay and I would not hesitate to stay again.
We have stayed here now for third time and the property remains in a high standard suiting our needs.
However, the boiler is in need of attention as it is losing pressure overnight. ( as advised in tel con ).
