This exclusive townhouse takes full advantage of the panoramic views out over the estuary and Castle Situated in a perfect location just a few meters away from a wonderful beach and a short stroll into the quaint fishing village of Ferragudo with its variety of restaurants and cafes. The entrance door leads directly to the first floor where you find: WC, Fully fitted kitchen and large open living room with sliding doors leading to the balcony. From here admire the lovely inviting atmosphere combined with an amazing view – comfortable sitting for 4 persons. Downstairs are 2 double bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms, fitted wardrobes and terraces. You have use of Vila Castelo's communal swimming pool.





Ferragudo is located just 8 minutes from Carvoeiro & Portimao. It has recently become one of the most fashionable holiday resorts on the Algarve and it’s easy to see why. It still retains that original fishing village charm, with one of the most picturesque harbours on the coast and only minutes away from some of the finest beaches in Portugal.



Tourist Tax came into force on 13 April 2024, in accordance with Regulation no. 425/2024, published in Diário da República no. 72 of 12/04/2024. The tourist tax charge is €2 per night during the high season (April to October) and €1 during the rest of the year (November to March) per person, up to a maximum of seven straight nights for all tourists aged 13 or older. The tax is to be paid either prior or upon arrival.

My Ferragudo experience

Well this is our 4th time to Ferragudo and already looking for next year, the accommodation was spotless and better than expectations. There was loads off room and the furnishing were excellent. It was fantastic accommodation and the views were stunning. Amazing place stunning accommodation, great facilities and brilliant communication from James who sorted everything out for us. Will defo book this again.

Fantastic views

The location of this property is lovely, and in general well fitted out. Lots of crockery pans etc. Could do with a long handled dustpan and brush though as we couldn’t sweep up. Great that pool towels are provided as it saves luggage space. It is a shame that there is not an information pack on the local area with recommendations for restaurants, places to visit etc. I did have to contact the manager about the cleanliness of the house though. There was a fair bit of mould in the second en suite shower, and some long black hairs. The floor wasn’t very clean nor was the basin. The house was also very dusty in places especially under the bed in the second bedroom and the lounger cushions were covered in dust which we had to clean. James sent someone out straight away and she said the cleaners would return, which they did, but the standard of cleaning still wasn’t brilliant and the long black hairs still remained! Some of the windows were very dirty (second bedroom again). Isabel who came out said that the cleaners don’t have access to the garden to be able to clean them. The property is in need of work. The small courtyard has scruffy furniture and dead plants in pots. The shower in the second bedroom has a leak onto the floor and a lot of mould on the tiles, the shower tray is quite unstable. It must also be (or has been) leaking into the wall of the bedroom as the panelling and skirting boards are rotting. The hems on the curtains are coming down. Would be a great property if the owner did some of the repairs needed, paid a bit more attention to detail, and the cleanliness was up to scratch.

Wir waren eine Woche im August in der Unterkunft. Toller Ausblick, Wohnung und Küche Top ausgestattet. Pool ausreichend, sauber und für Kinder und Erwachsene perfekt. Ferragudo ist ein tolles kleines Städchen mit schönem Marktplatz. Supermärkte und kleine Bistros inklusive. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Negativ: Der Weg zu Praia Grande (200m) anstrengend wg dem Autoverkehr, das ist aber der einzige negative Punkt. Man kann nämlich auch nach Praia da Angrinha, das ist entspannter.

Wonderful accommodation

Clean , well furnished and layed out property with a nice view of the river and marina. We immediately felt at home without feeling like we had to compromise as you sometimes have to renting vacation property. Quality and furnishings , linens etc were high. Location was ideal , but a car is necessary really. While there are some beaches within walking distance, the most beautiful beaches Pintadinho (best for kids because of more shallow water) and Caneiros are 5 to 7 min drive. For breakfast , you can drive to village in 5 mins and pick up croissants etc from bakery and mini supermarket near the square. Lunch at the restaurants on the beaches I mentioned earlier. Dinner in the many decent restaurants near the square area. In summary, it’s a great week family break to get your Mediterranean sun , beach and food experience.

Great location and house

We had a lovely holiday staying at your comfortable house. Our Grandson went to the pool area every morning whilst we relaxed on the balcony/ terrace admiring the magnificent views of the beach, estuary and castle. Ferragudo was just a short walk where we watched fishermen at work. boat trips can be booked from here and there is a good selection of restaurants. We hope to return next year.

Lovely Villa with Awesome Views!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The home served all our needs quite well. The fact that we had use of the pool and exercise center was a real plus. We used these facilities extensively during our stay. We found the home to be very relaxing and close to other activities such as the beaches and cliff walking. Any question or problem we encountered was dealt with by Isabelle and her support staff immediately. The home was within walking distance of the Ferragudo center which had numerous excellent restaurants. We would recommend this home to anyone visiting the Ferragudo or Praia da Rocha area.
