About this property

Searenity Vacations Home I, west of the Island

Located in Arco da Calheta, this property is between the mountains and the sea. Here, you can plan to start the day doing a “levada” walk in Rabaçal area and finish the day diving into the crystal clear waters of Jardim do Mar. If you prefer to stay at home you will have the possibility to swith the dip in the private pool with some barbecue snacks.
With two bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, the other with two single beds, this house has a maximum capacity of 4 people. It is ideal for a family holiday. Or couple. Or with friends.
It has all the necessary amenities and a superb view. It also has private parking space.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW
Situated in the west, this house is in the must sun exposed area of the Island of Madeira.
About 5 minutes drive away is the center of Calheta where you will find the yellow sand beach, several restaurants and a supermarket.
Calheta has the Museum of Contemporary Art, a fantastic architectural masterpiece.
Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar are a 10-minute drive away. These two small villages offer beach, animation and a very own beauty.
Closer, in the vicinity, you will find small bars/restaurants and grocery stores.

GETTING AROUND
We recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get to the house. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport!

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
-Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Calheta. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. When you arrive, you will receive a link to pay this municipal tax.
- According to Portuguese law, all guests are required to present a valid ID. (E.g. passport, identity card).
- Check-in must be scheduled in advance. In case the check-in is not scheduled within a maximum of 48 hours prior arrival, guests will be subject to the availability of our team.
- All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide a crib, a baby high chair and a baby bathtub if needed. First aid kit, fire extinguisher and fire blanket are available in all properties.

Vacation at its best

Directly upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the host Rita. The house was just wonderful, very clean and well-equipped with everything one could possibly need. We immediately felt at home and spent 10 marvelous days there as a family of four. We already miss the breathtaking 180 degree Ocean view. Our kids (6 and 8 yrs. old) especially enjoyed the great pool.

We had a fantastic week at Searenity Home I and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful house, the incredible outdoor areas, and the lovely pool. As everyone else mentions, Rita is a fantastic host, and we would be very happy to come back another time. It’s hard to add much new, but we can mention that the kitchen knives have been sharpened (there’s a knife sharpener in the drawer), and the banana palms only make the already stunning view even better. It might also be helpful to know that the private parking space is large and spacious, and the gate opens and closes electronically.

Perfect Villa!

Thank you so much we had an amazing holiday! Firstly the initial contact with an Island Apart was excellent. Every question was answered quickly by a friendly team member. The Villa itself was perfect, there was nothing at all we would change. It was spotless, luxurious and immaculate. Every little detail had been thought of and everything you needed was provided. Rita was lovely, friendly, kind and very welcoming. She is also obviously very thoughtful and considers everything for a lovely stay. We love Madeira, such a beautiful Island to explore. Toller Aufenthalt

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber, super ausgestattet, gut aufgeteilt und verfügt über einen fantastischen Ausblick. Ein Auto ist zwingend erforderlich, ein Supermarkt befindet sich in der Nähe und Restaurants sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Traumhaftes Haus mit gigantischem Meerblick

Wir haben einen traumhaften Urlaub in diesem einmalig schönen Haus genossen, alles blitzsauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man im Urlaub benötigt. Die Gastgeberin Rita war stets erreichbar und hilfsbereit und hat uns sogar mit einem selbst gebackenen Orangenkuchen verwöhnt. Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen.

Hideaway on Calheta Hills

Very spacious and modern bungalow style house with perfect sea view near Arco da Calheta. Perfectly equipped with all you need to have relaxing a vacation. Fits for a family or 4 adults. Excellent hub to start Madeira hiking tours or just to have relaxing days at the private pool. Good pizza place in walking distance as well as a little supermarket or traditional Poncha bar. Rita is the best host you can imagine and she definitely makes sure that your stay will become unforgettable.

Traumhaus zum Erholen

Das Haus entspricht komplett der Beschreibung und den Bildern. Es fehlt an nichts und alles war sehr sauber. Die Terrasse mit dem Blick auf den Atlantik ist fantastisch, zumal man von Vormittag bis zum Sonnenuntergang komplett Sonne hat. Fussläufig gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und eine Pizzeria, für alles weitere kann man runter nach Calheta fahren. Ein Auto mit ausreichender Leistung ist erforderlich, die Umgebung ist wie die ganze Insel sehr steil. Rita, die die Gäste betreut, ist ein Engel. Immer besorgt, immer ansprechbar und immer bemüht, den Aufenthalt noch schöner zu machen. Wir waren begeistert.

Traumhafte Lage

Herrliche Lage mit wunderbarer Sicht auf den Atlantik. Wir genossen die ruhige Lage. Die Vermieterin ist äusserst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sogar ein Willkommenskorb mit lokalen Spezialitäten stand bei der Ankunft bereit. Wir wurden sogar mit einem selbstgebastelten „Madeiracake“ verwöhnt. Die Kommunikation verlief unkompliziert auch via WhatsApp. Ein Mietwagen ist Pflicht. Damit ist aber die die ganze Insel ideal zu erkunden. In der Nähe zur Unterkunft befindet sich ein kleiner, gut sortierter Supermarkt und eine Pizzeria. Am Hafen von Calhetta (10min Fahrzeit mit dem Auto) gibt es viele Geschäfte und diverse (darunter auch sehr gute😊)Restaurants. Wir kommen wieder...

Perfect house with great ocean views

Modern house in a quite location. Good base for visiting the western part of the island. Phenomenal ocean views from a south facing terrace. All rooms very clean and perfectly equipped kitchen, clearly above expectations. Many thanks to our host Rita for the great hospitality. We couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.

We had a great time at the Searenity Vacations Home which met and exceeded our expectations from the pictures we had seen before. Everything was super clean, we had a great welcome basket with fresh fruit and local produce, our lovely host Rita was always available with recommendations and checked in regularly if everything was OK. We will definitely come back!
