Stunning ,family-friendly private villa with pool, sunny garden & sea views

Our beautiful, spacious villa is ideal for families and groups of friends looking for a relaxing holiday all year round. With a private sunny south facing garden having stunning sea and mountain views. Shade from the hot sun is available on the terrace or under our oak tree. The garden gate leads to our large pool with separate children's area.

Free, high speed broadband is available throughout the property, including the garden area.

All 3 bedrooms are en-suite with the master bedroom upstairs featuring a boutique-style wet room and a a sun-soaked balcony - the perfect place for a morning coffee whilst enjoying the views as far as Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco.

The villa is very child-friendly no matter what age your kids are - from a large, safe garden to the pool, which has a shallow, sectioned off area for little ones. Feel free to use our pool toys, tree swing, buckets & spades, baby cot (excludes bedding) and high chair.

Whilst the pool is shared with two other villas you will see from the reviews that you will more often than not have the pool to yourselves. The pool is accessed through a locked gate at the end of the garden, giving parents extra piece of mind.

Just 25 minutes away from Malaga airport we are Ideally located in a peaceful, quiet residential location, just 5 minutes by car from the beach or a 20 minute walk. Shops, bars and restaurants are all just minutes away. Marbella is 15 minutes away, Puerto Banus 20 minutes and Sierra Nevada ski resort is also just 2 hours away.

We have a fully-equiped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, washing machine, American fridge/freezer, coffee machine,air fryer and all the utensils you’ll need for 6 guests plus free basics like coffee, tea and sugar. Our tap water is fully drinkable.

Have breakfast, lunch and dinner inside, on the patio or in the garden with contemporary indoor and outdoor table and chair sets. If you feel like cooking outdoors there’s a 4-burner stainless steel BBQ for your use on the patio. There are also 6 sun-loungers for the garden.

We invite guests to pick their own lemons, limes, plums and mangoes from our garden (depending on the season).

Our villa is a year-round destination, perfect for an Easter get-away and even Christmas and New Year in the sun. We have recently installed a log burning fire in the lounge for cosy winter nights.

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was very clean and presentable, with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was always contactable and very helpful throughout our stay. The pool was lovely and the gardens beautifully maintained – we especially loved the charming heart-shaped tree. There was a great view from both the garden and the balcony, which made our time outdoors even more enjoyable. The rooms were perfect, with comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. We’d be happy to stay again!

Family holiday at Casa Batty

We had an amazing time in Casa Batty and everything you need for a family with a 20minth old was provided. The garden and views were amazing. Phil and Karen left easy instructions to follow and were easy to get hold of when needed. Would highly recommend to families with young children.

Home from home

Casa Batty is a lovely property containing all you need for a relaxing break. As the weather was very hot the air conditioning was most welcome. The pool is set in a separate private area and was always available.The local restaurants are excellent and we never had a poor meal. We had a car and this was essential as it is a long walk back up the hill! We would certainly come again.

Excellent property with all mod cons. Very quiet and relaxing. Car essential. Very good air conditioning. Loved the gardens and the semi-private pool (not that anyone else used it while we stayed). The perfect home away

Casa Batty is the perfect home away. Everything is just as described or even better. Phillip is the perfect host, who will do whatever it takes to make your stay here unforgettable. The location is excellent, in a quiet part of Calahonda, overlooking the very nice Cabopino Golf course. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful home!

Phil was a great host and responsive to our questions. Great location, comfortable beds, and wonderful location. The only problems we encountered impacting our enjoyment were the lack of hot showers and an invasion of ants which Phil promised to correct.

We stayed at Phil and Angie’s Home for nine days and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Phil is an excellent Homeaway host - great communication, concerned and wanting to make sure we had the best time. House was clean and tidy, well equipped, pool warm and although shared was quiet - we usually had it to ourselves. Five minutes drive to the beach and supermarket. We all left very relaxed - we will be back!! Many thanks Phil for everything you did to smooth our holiday.

It speaks volumes to the quality of the property itself and the helpfulness of Phil and Karen that, despite the constant battle in the master en-suite bathroom with ants (with wings!), the record number of insect bites that we all received during our stay, the nine-hour water outage, the boars on the other side of the garden, and the bombardment of acorns from the large oak tree, we all had a wonderful time!! The property itself is lovely, and conveniently located (if you have a car). There is a lovely park nearby with an unexected nature reserve, which makes for a nice walk down to the coast (and a steep walk back up). The sea and golfcourse views are stunning. The "secret garden" with the lovely swimming pool offers a tranquil respite from the occassionally noisy children in the next-door property. Phil was always on-hand to help deal with any issues, and made a kind gesture to offset some of the issues we had experienced, which was very much appreciated. All-in-all, we would love to return, although maybe not in early October (to avoid the insects and acorns)!!

A beautiful, kid-friendly place

We had a wonderful 2-week-vacation at Casa Batty. The place has everything you*ll need and more, the garden is inviting you to relax and it is super safe for kids to play there. The pool is separated from the garden by a locked door, which was something we were looking for. The pool is great! As mentioned, it is a shared pool but we have encountered no one during our stay using the pool. The amazing beach (Playa de Cabopino) is close enough to walk (depending on the heat, I guess) there, though with small kids you might prefer to use a car (or call a taxi). In the town you will find everything you need and if not it will be in the next town. Marbella, Malaga, Ojén and Mijas are fairly close and worth a visit. Communication with the owners was really great. In short: We had a great time there!

Lovely house - great holiday!

My wife and I were very pleased with the property, which is just as it says on the website. With a two year old we were particularly delighted with the excellent swimming pool separated from the garden by the hedge and a secure gate - no worries about our daughter falling in if we didn't keep our eyes on her for every second. And though the pool is shared, we ever saw anyone else using it, and it is bigger than most villas' pools and in a very pleasant setting. We loved the views out to sea, and the whole area is very quiet and well kept with local shops a short drive away - you can walk, but it is a bit of a climb back up the hill! There are plenty of places to go and things to do, though just being there is almost enough... we especially liked nearby Capobino beach; the area of sand dunes makes it apparently the only stretch of beach on the Costa Del Sol that isn't "urbanised", and it is only a short drive away. The restaurants at the little port there are good, too. Our daughter is still talking about how she enjoyed the Biopark zoo in Fuengirola, and the Aquarium in Benaldamena, both small enough to be easily manageable with a two year old and good enough to impress her parents! We were there in late September and the weather was always dry and warm with occasional morning mist - mostly high 20s and very pleasant. The house has everything needed for a good stay, with good sized rooms, and is smart and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. We recommend it - our only regret is that we went for only a week - we'd have loved a few more days there and know there are several more things to see and do next time!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful home!

Have just enjoyed a very relaxing and tranquil holiday in Casa Batty. What a fabulous home from home. The house is beautiful, lovely decor, comfy beds, lovely bathrooms/wet room, all is fresh and new looking. It has absolutely everything you could need or want. The garden is a gorgeous place to chill and the heart trees are beautiful to look at when your lying on the comfy sun loungers, or sitting on the veranda. Also, great views of Cabopino from the garden & balcony. Swimming pool is very quiet, only one or two visitors while we were there, so again we were visitors who had the pool mostly to ourselves. This is the only house to have direct access to pool through a locked gate, which is great for families with small children. The hosts Phil & Karen were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We joined them for drinks on their gorgeous boat docked in Cabopino Bay, which was a very enjoyable evening. Everything is within easy reach, the beach, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, you may be in the hills, but you’re not far from anything, though I would advise a car! A very enjoyable stay & will definitely be returning, have found a true gem!! Thanks Phil & Karen for your hospitality and hope to see you both again soon. Dee, Shane, Adam & Ríain, Dublin

Lovely family holiday Calahonda Mijas

Had the pleasure of staying in this lovely family villa. An amazing pool with lots of toys provided so great for families. The villa has all the essentials you need to make your stay home from home. It is a lot further from the beach and supermarket than we had realised and with small children it wasn’t walkable so hiring a car was a must have for us.

We had a Nice stay at Sitio de Calahonda. The house was clean and cousy, also we got a warm welkom from Phil himself. Our kids loved to play in the garden and spend afternoon at the pool. We enjoy the view in the morning and evenings. The beach was in the walking distance, so it was easy to get there... the neighborhood is very quite! we recommend it for family vacation or for the travel with the friends.

Why they chose this property

Hidden away in a very quiet up market area of Calahonda, our house with pool access is surrounded by fruit trees, sunshine and professional, respectful neighbours. It's a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive down to the picturesque Cabopino Marina where you can find family run restaurants and bars including the infamous Albert's restaurant. Great for breakfast, lunch or sunset dinners!

The villa is just off Ave De Espana which runs from both Calahonda junctions off the A7. Shops and restaurants are nearby.

A short walk away is Cabopino Golf Club which has a club house offering food, drink and great views over the fairways and the Mediterranean

What makes this property unique

Casa Batty is close to all facilities and in a fabulous location. It has a private South facing garden, enjoying sun all day long until the sun sets on the horizon over the Mediterranean.
Parasols and shade from leafy trees provide a welcome relief from the midday sun. Along with a lovely breeze and a fabulous pool. At the bottom of the garden there is a lockable gate to the pool, which means young children can play safely in our beautiful garden unsupervised. There is a rope swing attached to the Spanish Oak tree . We also have many pool toys that children may like to use.
A newly built Boardwalk has just been constructed enabling you to walk along the sea front all the way from Cabopino to La Cala and in the coming years it will continue in the other direction towards Marbella. A very pleasant and easy walk with bars and restaurants along the way.
