About this property
Trevince, a charming bungalow in Sennen Cove with amazing sea views.
Welcome to our home - Trevince.
As a family we have been coming to Sennen for over 25 years. We have some wonderful memories here.
When we saw Trevince come on the market we had to find a way of owning our own piece of Sennen. Luckily we managed as a family to buy it and have spent even more time in our beloved Sennen making new memories.
Approached by a 5 bar gate you will find a long drive which will easily park 3 cars. There is a large lawn palms and views of the sea.
Once in the hallway there is a long row of coat hooks for convenience and a pew to sit on when putting shoes on and to store under.
From the hall you will find the 3 bedrooms; 1 king, 1 double and a twin bedded room all with plenty of storage room as we know you need to pack for all weathers in this country and consequently bring lots of different clothes, we take the worry out of any storage issues by providing plenty of hanging space, hangers and draw space.
You will also find the bathroom off the hall with a large walk in shower and double sink, above which is a large lit mirror.
Next you will find one of our favourite rooms with everything you may need for a stress free holiday. We provide you with 2 ovens, American fridgefreezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and amazing views. There is a large farmhouse table for sharing marvellous meals after a day of memory making.
Leading off the kitchen is our cosy lounge with large freeview television and DVD player. Placed in one corner is a very attractive wood burner with granite lintel over, making Trevince suitable all year round for you to enjoy. We have provided a few childrens games, books and DVDs which are on the bookcase or in the dresser.
Also from the kitchen is a conservatory with lovely comfortable wicker furniture to soak up the amazing views. From here you can not only see the sea and watch sensational sunsets but there are also extensive views over farmland and to Sennen town.
Stepping out from the conservatory onto the patio back garden where you can choose to sit on the rattan sofas, enjoy a meal al-fresco or sit in the summerhouse, a perfect place to enjoy a book or a nice drink at the end of the day.
Around the side of the house we have an outside tap for washing sand of the children, your muddy dog, surfboard or wetsuits and hooks to hang them afterwards. We've made the garage a great practical place to store surfboards, kayaks or bikes. A washer/dryer and clothes line are also housed in here.
Talking about dogs we welcome them all. Sennen is a haven for dogs, ours adore it and hate leaving. If your dog likes to sit on sofas or sleep on beds then all we ask is you use a throw to put under them first.
A short walk from Trevince is the beach, Whitesands Bay, in our opinion the main reason to visit Sennen. Dogs are allowed on this beach up until Easter day and 1st October and every day before 8am and after 7pm. There is however another beach just along the coast path called Gwynver which is dog friendly all year round. Both beaches are patrolled by lifeguards in season.
Whitesands Bay is a haven for surfers with daily lessons for beginners, there is never a dull moment. The children will love jumping in the dunes, perfect for letting of steam. The beach also has a stream coming down from the valley which children love to play in and make dams.
A ten minute walk along the sandy coast path in the other direction is Sennen Cove. Here you will find 2 surf schools, 2 bars/restaurants, fish and chip shop, general store, cafe, lifeboat station, and the Roundhouse selling locally made goods and gallery.
The small harbour beach is also dog friendly and a great place to pitch up and watch the fishermen bringing home their catch.
Further along is the spectacular coastal path to Lands End, roughly a mile walk and one not to be missed.
Local attractions not to be missed are the Minack Theatre, Cape Cornwall, Geevor Tin Mine, Penzance, St Michaels Mount, Helston and St Ives with it famous beaches, you could also take a boat trip from Penzance to the Scilly Isles or fly from Lands End airport.
You may even be lucky enough to spot the odd dolphin playing in the bay.
We hope you will fall in love with Sennen like we have and would welcome you back at any time.
