Our Second Stay at this Home

This was our second stay in The House on the Hill! We came this time last year, and when we knew we were coming back, and saw this house open again, we jumped on it. Our activities had us primarily in the Rome area, which is about a 25-minute drive. But, the price and privacy of this house made it more than worth it. We had 5 unrelated adults in the home, and were all more than comfortable. I quite enjoyed coffee on the front deck every morning, watching the sunrise through the pines.

WONDERFUL Place to stay!

Has everything you need to live away from home for a vacation stay and I will add lots of room/space. We were able to relax and enjoy as a family our time at the "House on the Hill." Thank you so much!

Went for baseball.

The house itself was fine. Could use a little more thorough cleaning but nothing I couldn’t handle. From the outside - I was concerned. But once inside - it was fine. The grill only had about 1/2 of it that worked so that caused some issues. I would stay there again. Just not bring cornhole (bags) boards because it’s all on a hill.

Great location, great house

Stayed here with my son and another family participating at a tournament at the Lakepointe sports complex. The location could not have been better and was convenient to groceries, restaurants, etc. It was so nice to have space for everyone to have privacy when we wanted it and then time together when we wanted it. House was large enough for everyone and well maintained, the pictures are accurate. We would definitely stay there again if returning to Lakepointe!

LOVED this HOME

We stayed in this home during a business trip and it was very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. Home renovation was well done. I especially liked having a built in night light in the bathrooms. We had never booked a vacation home using VBRO but the downloadable app provided all the information we needed during our stay. If we were to come back to the area, I would definitely stay in this home again.

Amazing place!

We all loved this house so much, we look forward to hopefully booking again in May!! The only thing we had a problem with was the wifi password and Brian was able to respond quickly and get us connected! Another thing we didn’t like was that none of the bedrooms had tv but we made it work. Overall, the house is amazing, just be prepared for the hill that it’s on!

Perfect

We stayed here during a tournament at LakePoint there is tons of room And it is close to the facility and shopping. The kitchen has much more in equipment than most Rentals. The house is very clean and newly renovated The property manager was very responsive and we had no issues. I would stay here again when we return for another tournament. Very private as it is on a hill surrounded by woods. Safe neighborhood too!

Personal Getaway

I went for a personal getaway and this house had everything I needed and more. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, and basic spices. Check-in and check-out was very easy. The front porch was very comfortable to enjoy the breeze and the sounds of nature. I felt safe. Close to shopping. Brian was a great host. If I needed anything or just had a question about the area, he was just a text/call away. I would stay here again.

NOE Outdoor Expo

The house was great with main living area and bedrooms all on one level. Garage access to load and unload the kids out of the weather. There was an issue with some plumbing that the owners corrected in a timely manner. Fully stocked kitchen to aid in cooking.

Beautiful property, very clean, excellent accommodations, very spacious home.

This was our first experience in renting a home vs a hotel. I will never stay n a hotel again after staying in this beautiful home! The accommodations were perfect, everything we could need was there in the home! Open layout, nice decor with beautiful view of greenery. Loved being away from the business of the city. Very convenient having washer/dryer in home to wash uniform/clothes daily. Brian was very helpful and ensured everything met our needs. There is nothing I would change about our stay, we will be back and will stay at the "House on the hill" every time!!

Perfect

A very nice, good size, and well-kept house on a hill surrounded mostly by wooded area. The property offers a lot of privacy, a lot of space, and just about anything you will need to enjoy yourself. As people have said before, the driveway is steep. You must navigate it properly entering from and exiting to the street at an angle. For us, we had a minivan and it was not an issue.

So Much Better Than a Hotel!

My husband and I stayed in this house for almost three weeks, and it was such a great decision! We had more than enough room to spread out and get comfortable and we found the kitchen to be stocked with anything we could imagine to prepare, cook, and serve whatever food we wanted. The house was clean, the amenities were exactly as described in the listing, and the internet was fast and reliable for work and streaming. We had very few issues arise that required communication with the owner, and when they did arise, he was very quick to both respond and take care of the issue. We definitely will be keeping this house in mind for future visits to Cartersville!

Renter beware

Excessive fees, listed as "sleeps 8" however, they charge you per person after 2. Instead of renting the space regardless of how many people are in your party. The owner changed the per night fee when we reduced the number of nights we were staying from 4 to 3. There was no mention of a fee change or a night minimum. Just poor business practices. The property is not well maintained, the weeds in the flowerbeds have grown & blocking the steps to the front door, ants in the kitchen, the place smells of mildew, all mattress are AWFUL, the sofa and love seat are dirty and also need to be relpaced. Steep driveway. Adequate space and well stocked kitchen/baths.

Good experience and very organized!

Our stay here was for a weekend basketball tournament at LakePoint. It was only a 15 minute drive to the venue which we didn’t mind at all. There are tons of amenities close by such as grocery and fast food options. The house was extremely well organized and clean. Our only disappointment was the fact that to get to the basement bedroom and extra family room , you had to walk down the unfinished stairwell to the garage area to access the room. We did not feel comfortable letting any of our kids stay down there since it was not technically connected to the rest of the house with secure doors and was accessible through the garage. This could be remedied easily by finishing the stairwell and putting a secured door at the bottom of the stairs leading to the garage, which would separate the rooms/house from the garage. The grill outside probably needs to be replaced as well, and we didn’t feel comfortable using it since it was pretty worn down. Other than that we had a great stay And the property manager communicates quickly and efficiently !

Beautiful & New Home

Two friends and I stayed at this home while in Cartersville to watch our sons play at Lake Point. It's a great location- only about a 15 min drive to the complex. We were blown away at how nicely Brian had remodeled this home. It was also one of the most well appointed houses I've ever rented. From crockpots to wine openers, blenders to tupperware, this house had it ALL. There were many other thoughtful touches such as extra pillows, linens and blankets, soap for dishes and laundry, even toothbrush holders in the bathrooms. I think Brian thought of it ALL and made sure every detail was perfect. The mattresses were the most comfortable I've ever slept on! We enjoyed hanging out in the big open living room during down time. We also ended up eating a few meals of cheese, crackers and fruit around the spacious kitchen island because it was so inviting. The hot & humid weather prevented us from using the deck or grill but it looked nice. Brian was extremely communicative and I felt very comfortable knowing about the house in advance. The only surprise was a very VERY steep driveway which I didn't like but grew more confident with throughout our stay. Brian explained that the top portion of the concrete driveway has a "lip" around the edges so you would feel that and literally have to accelerate over it to go off of it. Once I knew that, I knew I was fine! LOL The house looks very pretty at the top of the hill and it is nice to be up a little higher. It's on a wooded lot which helps keep the temperatures down inside the house during those sticky dog days of summer. We discovered that throughout a weeklong baseball tournament at Lake Point, a few or more games are played at area high school fields. We drove 30-60 min each day depending on where our game was, but our friends in hotels had the same situation. There is really no place to stay where you will be close to EVERYTHING so you might as well stay 15 min from the Complex where 3 of our 7 games were. We also discovered that Cartersville is a very cute town with lots of adorable shops filled with super cute and interesting clothes, accessories, antiques, and more. Leave room in your suitcase for all the extra "souvenirs" you'll be bringing home. We also had some fabulous food in Cartersville. It's a wonderful town to stay near and explore. You can't go wrong with this house. Brian is very accessible for any Qs or anything we needed. It was a great stay!

My wife and I were born and raised in Michigan. I enjoy purchasing homes and renovating them. My wife is a teacher and LOVES to travel during her time off. Several years back, we began vacationing in Florida and looked into renting VRBO properties and loved the concept. We decided to convert this property to a vacation property so that we could provide guests in our market a vacation home.

Why they chose this property

As regular VRBO guests, we have added "extras" that you don't find in "most" vacation properties. Our kitchen is stocked with about anything you would find at home. We like to be available to our guests when needed but like to allow them a quiet stay. This property is located on top of a hill. 2 of the 3 sides of the backyard are wooded providing guests lots of privacy out on the back deck.
