Need to get away and relax but only have a few days? Then come to Santa Cruz and experience all the area has to offer. From the beach to hiking, biking, iconic beach boardwalk, and wine tasting there is something for everyone.

Santa Cruz has strict quiet hours for vacation rentals. The hours are 10 pm to 8 am. This is not a party house.

An elegant, peaceful retreat awaits you in this beautifully appointed beach house. The three-bedroom, two-bath vacation rental sits in an unusually quiet residential area with access to all of the area’s most popular attractions: It is located three blocks from Twin Lakes Beach (with lifeguards and fire pits and half a mile from the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor. It’s just a ten-minute drive(without traffic) to the Boardwalk amusement park, Capitola Village, and lively downtown Santa Cruz; ten minutes from redwood forests with miles of hiking and biking trails; a 40-minute drive from Monterey Bay Aquarium; and a 45-minute drive from the San Jose Airport with no traffic.

The open floor plan, downstairs bedroom and bath and no steps to get into the house make this a wheelchair-friendly home should you have such a need.

This comfortable, beautifully decorated house includes a fully equipped kitchen with concrete counters and upscale appliances - everything you need to entertain at home. All three bedrooms have their own private decks and a flat-screen TV with YouTube TV. Downstairs floors offer radiant heat, and a cozy gas fireplace in the living room. 55" 4K flat screen smart TV above the fireplace which swivels so you can sit in the backyard and watch TV with the accordion doors open, i.e. sporting events.

If you have to bring your work with you, the home is equipped with high-speed WIFI, and even works well in the backyard!

The fenced-in backyard has a private hot tub, where you can relax under the stars, as well as a table for outdoor dining and a gas BBQ. There is even a wagon provided with sun chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie and skim boards, and toys to make your beach vacation complete. Linens and towels are provided. Just bring your swimsuits and enjoy! Sleeps one to eight people. This is a nonsmoking house.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Start a load of white towels, cover the patio table, cover the BBQ. If you are here on Monday, take all 3 garbage cans to the street
Turn the heat off, turn the hot tub down to 80 and make sure the cover is on, turn the alarm system on
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No fireworks due to illegal in SC, if fireworks are discovered it will result in immediate eviction. if neighbors complain of noise $150, police $500
If guest booking the reservation is not on the property the ENTIRE rental time there will be immediate eviction, no refund and lose of deposit
agreeing to this rule states you have read the sample rental agreement. An official rental agreement with rental dates will be sent after reservation

My husband and I work and live in Silicon Valley. We are Ohio transplants but have called San Jose our home for over 30 years so I guess we are locals now. We love to hike, bike, fish (my husband) and relax at the beach.

Why they chose this property

Even though we only live 25 minutes from the property we feel like we are on vacation whenever we go to Santa Cruz. The stress and traffic of Silicon Valley makes coming to Santa Cruz so relaxing. We had been looking for a vacation rental for over 3 years as we needed a downstairs bed and bath and an open floor plan for our son who uses a wheelchair. We also wanted to be close to a beach with no stairs so we could easily get him to the beach. 420 9th Ave. met and exceeded our needs.
