It concentrates all kinds of equipment and services of an educational type (among which the University School of the Red Cross, the Vallés Center of the Institute of the Theater of the Diputación de Barcelona, the IES Montserrat Roig or Pious Schools), sanitary (the Mutua de Terrassa, the San Lázaro Hospital, several primary care centers), commercial (the Independence Market), financial (the headquarters of the Terrassa Box), cultural (the Central Library, the Alegría Theater, the Maria Plans Room , the Main Theater, cinemas and exhibition halls, the Tobella Archive, the Cultural Center of the Caja de Terrassa), communicative (the writing of the Diario de Terrassa), etc.
It has two of the city's railway stations: the North station (Cercanías Renfe - Metro de Terrassa), the Paseo de Veintidós dos de Julio, and the Terrassa Rambla de los FGC (Metro de Terrassa), on the Rambla from Egara
All this half an hour from Barcelona by public transport!
