About this property
The Barn, Burnham Overy Staithe, Norfolk
A hidden gem of a property, The Barn is situated just a heartbeat from the picturesque harbour and stunning coastal path in Burnham Overy Staithe. With a membership to the local tennis club, guests will win game, set and match with this choice of hideaway.
Tucked away through an original low arch set in a high chalked wall, The Barn is located right in the heart of this pretty coastal village, popular with birdwatchers, walkers and sailors. The comfortable semi-detached barn is 'upside down', with a lovely triple aspect sitting room on the first floor to take full advantage of the spectacular views to the creek and harbour. With a well-equipped kitchen and large dining area, three bedrooms (king en suite on the ground floor, and double and twin on the second floor), plus bathroom and cloakroom and private garden. This character property is very special and will appeal to a variety of holidaymakers across the year.
This is a wonderful spot if you just want to relax and unwind, but there's plenty to see and do from right outside the front door including a great local pub in the village. Take the mile long walk to one of Norfolk's most secluded beaches - a simply stunning, vast and sandy beach, ideal for picnics and endless beach walks - and don't forget to take along your binoculars, the birdlife is amazing. Explore the creeks in a kayak, have a summer early evening swim in the harbour (please make yourself aware of the tides, which can change very quickly), play a set or two of tennis on the village courts, stroll along to the local pub for a bite to eat, or catch the Coasthopper and spend a day exploring the delightful neighbouring villages along this beautiful stretch of coastal North Norfolk.
Additional Information:
Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
All duvets and pillows are feather, except the two single duvets in the twin room.
Please bring your own Vertuo Next size pods coffee machine.
Tennis racquets and balls are not provided - please bring your own.
There is no starter pack (tea, coffee, sugar and milk) or welcome hamper provided at this property.
Travel cot and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot.
