This charming house is an olive grove of 10,000 m2 on the mountain of Puig Major overlooking the 'Sierra de Tramuntana', declared a World Heritage Site in the category of Cultural Landscape by UNESCO. Ideal to enjoy the peace and tranquility of a rustic environment. Only 8 minutes from Fornalutx, 15 minutes away from the town of Sóller, as well as the beach of Puerto de Sóller. The house is an example of sustainable life, using solar energy. It offers tasteful wooden furniture and stone crafts. It is part of a larger, independent and private estate, with access and own parking, surrounded by trees, orchards and marjales. Ideal place for walking, hiking, wonderful walks through the surrounding mountain landscapes, are easily accessible.

Fornalutx has been voted the most beautiful town in Spain on several occasions. Located in a valley of the mountains of the Sierra de Tramuntana, surrounded by orange, lemon and olive trees, with its Moorish stone marshes. Soller is considered one of the most beautiful and romantic villages on the island. Both villages with their stone houses, orange trees, etc. They have a lot of bars and restaurants with their special charm and traditional Mallorcan cuisine. They also have their own local market, banks and stores. In the Port of Sóller you can find some bars and good restaurants where you can enjoy fresh fish and meat too, some located on the seafront. Boat excursions are made from the port to visit the north coast (grand tour-GR) Mountain biking is also practiced.

This was a great mountain escape close to the small towns and mountainous drives and trails. The kitchen with the wood fireplace was fantastic as we often chose to make our meals and enjoy a roaring fire. The bonus was listening and seeing the sheep and baby lambs in the farm next to the house. It was a lovely stay and we would come again.

We absolutely loved our time spent in this peaceful setting. If you love the sound of birds and enjoy hiking, privacy, an amazing location, central to so many beautiful towns, you will love it here. Set in a mountain valley on an ancient olive farm with amazing indoor/outdoor living complete with outdoor kitchen, eating area and patio furniture to sit and gaze at the stars. We were sad to leave this beautiful home and the friendly sheep! Thanks to Tomeu and Mari for the great communication, friendly tips and great hospitality!

Very nice house in the mountain

Fabulous slice of heaven in the country

We enjoyed our stay immensely. It was the perfect place to get off the grid and enjoy some peace and tranquility. The home is nestled among groves of olive trees, with spectacular views all around. The herd of sheep was an added bonus...we were entertained by them daily!

Es Clot

If you want to get away from it all this is a great place. The outside cooking area was especially good where we cooked on a wood fire every night plus there was a wood fired oven for pizzas etc. Good location for walking. Beautiful location amid the olive groves.

Beautiful mountain location and rustic charm!

We were delighted with the beautiful mountain location of this traditional house. Nicely remote from more touristy areas, while only a few minutes drive from the superb village of Fornalutx. The property was full of rustic charm! Our favorite moment was enjoying sunset with a glass of wine on the patio with the background sound of sheep bells.

The house is perfectly situated in an amazing location, and the host personally guided us during check-in. We were delighted to find fresh oranges and lemons from the property's trees upon arrival. The house was very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen containing everything we needed.Communication with the host was exceptional - they responded quickly and provided excellent support throughout our stay. This place is a hidden gem in complete isolation set amongst the mountains. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay! The bed is memory foam and was SO comfy! After 3 weeks of travelling we had the best sleeps here. The host and property manager were very easy to deal with from booking to check in. If you want to experience serenity tucked away from the main touristy attractions then this place is perfect for you. Only a short drive away from Fornalutz, we liked to start our mornings with a small hike around the surrounding villages, starting in Fornalutz, before trying out the local artisan bakery and cafes. Port Soller is a 20 minute drive away which was perfect for afternoon swims. This place is perfect if you don’t mind having to drive everywhere, it’s definitely worth it for the experience of this gorgeous property!

Calm and relaxing place

The house had all that is needed, and in addition a bread oven and an outdoor fire place. There are plenty of mallorquinian earthen ware to directly cook in the fire, this was a great experience. The owner provided us with oranges and lemons from his orchard twice, and Mari organised everything perfectly.

Rural property to get away from it all

A lovely quiet property within a short drive to facilities of Fornalutx and Soller (one of my favourite areas), plus a great base to explore the wider mountain range. We would have liked to explore some of the walking trails in the area, but the lovely weather was just too hot! Mari made us feel very welcome (even at our very late time of arrival and remained a message away from any other help/information that we needed - a perfect host!

Lovely peaceful and beautiful place

My son and I had a fantastic 5 night stay at this beautiful and peaceful place. Here you really get into gear and relax completely. There is no wifi in the house and the mobile signal is very poor, but even with a teenager you can do without SoMe for a few days. Actually think it's healthy. The warmest recommendations from here. Lovely quiet location, A perfect antidote to the crowds. Tomeu very welcoming with some lovely oranges and lemons from his farm, Coming from the Cotswolds we know all about sheep (!) but these were particularly charming with their bells and friendly manner, loved watching them especially during feeding time. Stunning location, only 10 minutes from Fornalutx which is beautiful with lovely restaurants and a beautiful outlook over the mountains. Very much enjoyed driving in the Tramontana mountains with its beautiful villages and stunning scenery and a lot of cyclists!! Thank you, Tomeu, for a lovely week In your beautiful cottage/Casa!

Beautiful peaceful location

The rural setting of this typical Mallorcan house is in the most perfect setting amongst ancient olive trees with views of the mountains from every window. Sheep were our neighbours. The inside is fairly basic but adequately equipped.You will want to spend more time outside than in. Take care on the track down to the house if you don't want to damage a tyre as we did!. Local restaurant at the Mirador) (5 minutes drive) is friendly and good value.

The whole valley all to ourselves!

This house is fantastic if you are really looking for peace and quiet. At first we were surprised, the silence was deafening - just birds chirping, the bells of the sheep and the occasional frog croaking, no internet. An idyll! Tomeo, the owner, gave us a very friendly welcome and brought us a basket full of oranges and lemons from his garden. One morning he surprised us with croissants for breakfast from the great bakery in Fornalutx - very nice! It was really hard to say goodbye to this extraordinary place after a week. :-)

-We enjoyed our stay here immensely – the tranquility and sounds of nature, and the beautiful home and surroundings. It was a wonderful spot for exploring nearby hiking trails. We can recommend the hike up to Puig de Sa Bassa, and S’Alzina Fumadora trail which takes you down to Fornalutx. The Mirador de Ses Barques is a short drive down the MA-10 where you can begin the trail of Sa Costera to Cala Tuent. In the opposite direction, and even closer, is the embassament de Cúber where you can hike up to the Puig de l’Ofre or down the Barranc de Biniaraix.We would like to express our gratitude to Tomeu for his generous hospitality and insight into the local area.-Vàrem gaudir immensament de la nostra estada aquí: la tranquil·litat, els sons de la natura i la bellesa de la casa i del seu entorn. Ha estat un indret magnífic per explorar els camins de muntanya propers. Recomanam especialment la pujada al Puig de Sa Bassa i el camí de s’Alzina Fumadora, que baixa fins a Fornalutx. El Mirador de ses Barques és a pocs minuts en cotxe per la MA 10, des d’on podeu iniciar la ruta de Sa Costera fins a Cala Tuent. En direcció contrària, i encara més a prop, hi ha l’Embassament de Cúber, des d’on podeu pujar al Puig de l’Ofre o davallar pel Barranc de Biniaraix.Voldríem expressar el nostre agraïment a en Tomeu per la seva hospitalitat generosa i pels seus coneixements sobre la zona.Joan i Mary.

Excellent point de chute pour ceux qui aiment le calme, l’authenticité, la nature.Maison perdue au milieu des oliviers à 20min du premier village.Très bien équipée interieur et extérieur. Il fait chaud, mais la terrasse couverte et les arbres font qu’il y a toujours un espace agréable à l’ombre.Jus d’orange pressé chaque matin avec les oranges du propriétaire : un délice !J’enlève une étoile pour l’absence de clim. C’est une maison ancienne qui garde la fraicheur et qu’on peut aérer le soir, mais malgré cela, un petit coup de clim avant de s’endormir le soir aurait été un plus.
