Bowmore is a most comfortable and beautifully appointed, newly built bungalow, which stands in a quiet cul de sac in the picturesque Highland village of Fort Augustus (all facilities) at the foot of Loch Ness in Scotland's beautiful Great Glen.

Pet friendly (2 dogs maximum) private garden but not secure.

The land on which it stands was once the vegetable patch cultivated by the monks of the Abbey here and it is still a green and leafy spot with the added advantages of garden furniture and a barbecue.

Inside it is possibly the sense of space and style which will first strike guests on entering. The house has been furnished to the highest of standards and offers bright and spacious accommodation.

The comfortably furnished sitting room has a wood-burning stove that creates a cheerful focal point. The large, bright and beautifully styled dining kitchen has all you could wish in terms of equipment and there are three elegant bedrooms, the master of which has a king-size bed and en suite facilities.

The talented owner has created a beautiful and practical holiday home, the quality of which is equal to its attractive surroundings.

A perfect holiday

The house itself, the location (two blocks to town), the comfort of Fort Augustus, and the central location for the northern Highlands were all perfect for our three-generation family group. The weather even cooperated.

Tour of the west and Skye

Been to Scotland many times but this is by far the best property I have stayed in. Its a fabulous property in a great location. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. Close to local amenities with some nice eating places. Pity about the rain but that's Scotland.

Excellent property in a perfect location

We (4 adults) stayed for 4 nights in this lovely accommadation. The house is very spacious, more than enough room for 6 people, comfortable longe area and fully functioning kitchen. Location is down a quiet road but minutes from the town and Loch Ness. Fully recommend it.

Bowmore. A lovely place.

Very impressed with the space, so much more than the photos give justice. In a perfect position to enjoy lock ness and the surrounding area. The highlands is a beautiful place. The bungalow was well equipped for any occasion with family young and old. Spotlessly clean. I/we wouldn’t hesitate stopping there again in the future.

Bowmore Cottage, Fort Augustus

As a group of five international adult travellers attending a wedding reception in Fort Augustus, Bowmore Cottage was a fantastic choice. Thanks to the efficiency and courtesy of Mr Lee and his staff we had a very enjoyable stay. The property was very well presented and was in an excellent position and condition. All five of us have no hesitation in recommending it to a group or family who may be visiting Fort Augustus and Loch Ness.

Perfection at its best.

This property was perfect in every way. Absolute quality and so well situated within a two minute walk to the town centre. The owner has certainly gone above and beyond in order to provide a quality stay with everything imaginable at your fingertips. As a group of six adults we were so happy with the comfort of the beds, the bathrooms were immaculate, heating and hot water was great and easy to manage. We could not fault this stay and congratulate the owner and property manager for providing such high quality accommodation. We will be back.

Beautiful property in a quaint little town!

The house was lovely, but there was a kerosene leak that caused us some headaches. We were not sent the code to get in, and the property manager had to come let us in. He knew about the kerosene leak, but never sent anyone over to fix it during our stay. However, we did enjoy the sites around the house and just kept the kitchen and laundry room doors closed to keep the smell out of the rest of the house.
