6 MIN WALK TO OSTUNI OLD TOWN - Stunning villa with Pool & Panoramic Sea Views
A ‘mosca bianca’ (white fly) is how the locals describe this magical location with its beautifully renovated lamia, private pool, outdoor kitchen with barbecue, pizza oven and very own orange grove, i.e., an exceptionally rare find.
The Lamia has been restored with its original stone features and vaulted ceiling and is situated just a few minutes walk from the old town of Ostuni, The White City, boasting unrivalled sea views, as far as the eye can see, as well as a picture postcard view of the old town.
However, whilst you are a stone's throw from Ostuni, the villa is situated in its own private orange grove where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. The original lamia, which is now the sitting room, has been sympathetically extended to include a large kitchen/dining area and 2 double bedrooms, which lead straight out to the pool, all with ensuite bathrooms. The other 2 bedrooms are accessed from outside the main villa right next to the pool and are self-contained. Each bedroom has it's own private access but they are connected by an internal door, which can be locked for privacy. It is easy to access the main building, however, as the outside stairs take you straight up to the kitchen.
From the sitting room you can access the first of two terraces with stunning panoramic views of the beautiful Adriatic coast located just 8km away. The sea views stretch for miles in front of you and, to your left, you have the picture postcard view of the White City.
Ostuni is brimming with restaurants and cool bars and during the summer has a whole host of events in the piazza from live music to art exhibitions to street artists and is buzzing till the early hours. During the day you can relax by the beautiful pool overlooking the orange grove whilst gazing out to sea or enjoy a day at any of the variety of different beaches and coves along the coast. If you want a break from the sunbed there are plenty of day trips you can take to explore the beautiful medieval towns dotted around Salento and sample the amazing food and wines the region has to offer.
In the evening, savour a sun-downer on the top terrace watching the twinkling lights of Ostuni before enjoying a BBQ by the pool or trying your hand at making your own pizzas in the pizza oven. We can even arrange a Pizzaiolo to come in and make pizza's with you! Whatever you do, you can be sure that all your senses will be awakened in this magical place. And if you want a winter getaway, the villa boasts underfloor heating and a beautiful original stone fireplace to keep you warm at night. It is truly an all year round experience.

This property was just as advertised. Outstanding location and fantastics views from inside and outside the villa. The Villa was very clean and had plenty of room for our entire group. It was an easy walk to town which we very much enjoyed. Both Melinda and Francesco were easy to reach and very helpful prior to and during our stay.

Great location and different levels with great views of the White City and sea.
Exceptional villa with views that cannot be beat and a location to Ostuni that is just a few minutes walk. The whole process was made easy by Melinda and Francesco. We booked a private chef through Francesco and would highly recommend. It’s the perfect location for exploring the Puglia region.

We loved our stay at this house. It is such a wonderful location, very close to the old town of Ostuni, at the same time in the countryside. The house has so many areas to hang out and relax - and in that way is really unique. We also booked a pizza making experience through the owner and that was our favourite night of our stay. Would highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time staying at the villa. It is tastefully decorated, has air-conditioning, a lovely pool, gorgeous views and opportunities for outdoor dining on various terraces.
The location of this villa is fantastic. It's less than a 10 minute walk to Ostuni where there are many great restaurants and many day trips within an hour drive. The views from the outdoor areas are wonderful during the day and at night. In addition to Ostuni, you can see the Adriatic. Malinda and Francesco were very responsive. The furnishings and linens are on the basic side and it would be great to have better lighting on the patio with the dining table overlooking the town.
We loved our time at Melinda’s property in Ostuni.
Located a short walk from the centre, we enjoyed walking into town for lazy lunches and delicious dinners.
We also loved the nearby beaches and just chilling by the pool!
An excellent property that is really well managed & looked after. You’ll love your stay here!

A magical week with my family in Ostuni. Our stay was perfect!
This property was a perfect fit for our family vacation. The location was amazing, so close to the town of Ostuni and a beautiful view from the balcony. Francesco was so helpful and even organized a chief come to the house and prepared a delicious meal. Highly recommend this property.

Thank you so much. So glad you had a lovely time. That is the most important thing for me. Take care, Melinda
Fabulous location with easy walk to Ostuni centre. The external spaces were good, but the patio furniture was tired and needed replacing. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good. The internal living space was not adequate for 8 adults. We sadly had some bad weather and could not sit together in the living room. The kitchen was basic but functional. The crockery was chipped and also needed replacing.
This was truly a unique property with old world roots and new world amenities. The location is very centrally located to use as our "home base" to see the Puglia region. We could easily drive to Alberobello, Lecce, Polignano or Monopoli for day trips and be back in the afternoon to relax around the beautiful pool or on the amazing rooftop deck with views of Ostuni and the Adriatic Sea. We took Melinda's recommendation to have a chef and pizzaiolo cook for us at the house and loved them both. Very special setting for a family gathering. We would highly recommend this villa!!
This property exceeded expectations in every way. It’s interior design and furnishings were better than the photos suggest, it’s layout is fantastic - especially the pool area for daytime lounging and the rooftop deck for late night cocktails. The views in every direction are ideal. And the location is excellent- just a short walk into town which our group (including young kids) did daily. Highly recommend!
Our family of 7 loved this place! Amazing location and beautiful views from all locations at the house. We could walk to town easily and yet be far enough to feel secluded. Host was very communicative and Francesco was very helpful with arranging transportation for us and super responsive whenever we needed him. Accommodations were very comfortable and we can’t wait to come back and enjoy this paradise again!
Location was excellent
My family really enjoyed our stay there, the place was stunning.
The only thing was towels, we only had one set we had to do a towel wash every day.
Everything else amazing.
Thank-you very much
We were a group of 4 couples staying at the villa while exploring Puglia. There was plenty of room for us all and great areas to congregate. The views were amazing! The best part of the stay was the communication with the host and her local manager. I cannot say enough! Francesco arranged transportation from Brindisi for 4 of us and a private chef to come to the house on the first night which was amazing. We walked into town several times and it was doable for most of the group. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Thank you Susan. I’m so pleased you enjoyed your stay that’s so important to me. And you’re welcome back anytime!
We stayed here as a group of friends as we were all attending the same wedding. The villa was perfection. Rooms were clean and tidy and beautifully styled. The pool was divine. The views were utterly spectacular. It was perfect for our stay. A short walk into Ostuni. Perfect location as it was close enough to explore but far away that you had own little bit of peace and quiet.
It really Was the perfect villa for our trip and couldn’t recommend it more.
We were 6 adults and a 9 month old baby. It was our first family holiday since the baby arrived and was a huge success. The property is exactly as shown and met our expectations. Very clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. There was plenty of room for us all to socialise, but also have our space. The pool was great and it was so nice to have a shaded area there as well, The area was great, lush, well kept and nice and quiet. 5 min drive to a very nice supermarket (not walkable) and 10min walk to town along the quiet road. Ostuni is a really nice town, plenty of nice cafes & restaurants, pretty to look at, nice little shops. Would def go back.
The property was wonderful, very modern additions to the traditional lamia lounge room. The property manager, Francesco went above and beyond to accommodate our late arrival and then to help out with transport. We couldn't thank him enough. The villa is only a short walk to Ostuni old town which is full of great restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend the villa to friends.
It’s a great house - the outdoor space and views are great and a short walk into Ostuni. We were there as two families - 9 in total and 5 kids under 5. Lots of stairs but was easily manageable with small ones. Melinda sorted extra high chairs and cribs as needed and everything on site worked as expected. Francesco was also really helpful to sort any extras we needed incl taxis etc. Hopefully we can return one day!

Absolutely Amazing!
We absolutely loved our stay in Ostuni!
The property was presented beautifully and exactly as described in the images and write up! Melinda was very accommodating and organised the second room to be made up as a double.
The property was a perfect home base for our stay in Ostuni and the surrounding areas and beaches. We loved how close we were to the old town, restaurants and bars, without having to deal with the hustle and bustle of parking!

Thank you for your kind words. It’s always lovely to know that guests have enjoyed their stay as that is my number one aim. Thanks again.
We had a wonderful time in Ostuni. The view of the town from the terrace is priceless. We enjoyed the pool and ping pong. Everyone had their privacy and the accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The property and garden is so interesting- we loved exploring.
It is an easy walk to town but the road is narrow and the drivers are speedy so use caution at night especially. Thank you, Melinda, for sharing your little slice of heaven with us. It was a great introduction to Puglia.

About the host
Hosted by Melinda Jackson
I live in Kent in England with my 3 beautiful children and am so excited to be able to share this beautiful Lamia with you. I fell in love with this area back in 2011 and was very lucky to find this gem tucked away from view. It took me nearly 4 years to renovate it into the villa it is today, keeping the original building at it's core. Italy stole my heart many moons ago on holiday with my family. This led me to teach English in Le Marche for 2 years so I could learn the beautiful language. Fast forward a lot of years and I yearned to go back and own a piece of Italy for myself. Puglia immediately caught my eye with its trullis and olive groves and when I saw Ostuni it was love at first sight and I knew that I wanted to be close to this magical town.
Why they chose this property
I was incredibly fortunate to come across the perfect setting and a derelict Lamia in need of some loving restoration. After a 3-year renovation project, I feel so proud and extremely fortunate to say that L'Aranceto is mine and I can finally share its beauty and magic with you. The location is second to none and the view from the villa over the Adriatic coast and Ostuni Old Town is breathtaking. You don't have to worry about parking as you can simply leave your car at the villa and walk a mere 6-minutes into the piazza where you can sample all the delights Ostuni has to offer. When you want to go further afield, the villa is well placed for easy access to the beach and other beautiful nearby towns and there are all the amenities you could need on your doorstep too.
What makes this property unique
You have your own private pool with outdoor kitchen with bbq and sink next to a large pergola with dining table and seating overlooking the orange grove which now grows in what used to be a stone quarry. Here you can lose yourself in the various areas within the grove and pick the different variety of citrus fruit, grapes, figs and cherries that grow there. The property boasts two different terraces where you can eat breakfast and lunch or chill on the top roof terrace under the stars while admiring the twinkling lights of Ostuni in the warm night air. There is a pizza oven and dining table just off the kitchen so there are many different areas to choose from. The villa is equipped for use all year round having underfloor heating and the original stone fireplace making this the ideal spot to explore Puglia.
