Everything was great, only a few light fittings didn;t work in the kitchen which made it a bit dark.

8/10 Good

We enjoyed our week in the area.
We enjoyed our week in the area. Lots to do and see. Good days out within easy driving distances. Lots of cultural, historical and outdoor activities to choose from. The cottage is in a lovely location on the canal banks. There is a good choice of places to eat. Supermarkets are close by in Lochgilphead. When we arrived we found ourselves locked out. We contacted the owner, who lives in England, only to find the key holder could not be contacted. The owner was very helpful and did the best she could under the circumstances. She paid for a night’s accommodation in the local hotel which thankfully was dog friendly. We eventually got into the cottage the next morning. There is now a key safe in situ so our predicament should not arise again. The cottage itself was clean but would benefit from updating . Redecorating, replacing faded curtains and new towels would make it much more attractive. The kitchen was adequately equipped for a weeks stay. Bathroom has an over bath shower with plenty of hot water. Access is up a narrow lane and parking is by the back door on the lane. Mobile phone signal in the cottage is very poor with BT and nothing with EE. There is no landline telephone. I have said I would recommend the cottage but it is a little tired. It would benefit from some TLC.
