Looking for a quiet safe quirky retreat , then this is the place .
Had a London trip planned so decided to dovetail this with a well deserved relaxing break.
Arrived Friday , got warm welcome and great instructions followed by a surprise cake and wine treat , took dip in the hot tub to begin the weekend wind down, Saturday trip around the local area and off to Hythe , another dip before an early Sunday start to catch a high speed train to London , took in a show then back on high speed to our quirky cabin. And guess what another dip . Slept well on all three nights and enjoyed the surroundings highly recommend and will be returning
This is a lovely peaceful location which is also dog friendly. The cottage has everything you need. The location is very rural so transport is needed, but that means its very peaceful and relaxing. The historic City of Canterbury is nearby & this is an ideal base to explore north Kent.
The garden outdoors, although shared between 3 properties is entirely enlcosed so its possible to let your dogs run free. There is a hot-tub (although we didn't use this).
Tim, your host is friendly and very helpful.
We will definately visit again.

Visit to Kent
The photo of the property was misleading. It was surrounded by trees which was ok. The people in the other side of the property parked right outside our only window. The shower could have been cleaner. Not a huge amount of utensils. But the hot tub was fabulous though no massage as advertised, which i was looking forward to. Owners were very nice.
The owners were lovely and very helpful but also kept to themselves. the cottage was so cozy, and they had given us complimentary wine and a cake upon arrival!! The whole cottage was very well equipped with everything you would need. The hot tub was fab! very clean and easy to use. highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and scenic countryside stay!
Our little Yorkie Rory who is 19 said it was the best place ever! He met and fell in love with Bella awww. Lovely people lovely place to just get away and chill thank you x

The location is incredible, then you meet tim who is the nicest host.
The location is incredible, then you meet tim who is the nicest host. He was amazing, made sure everything was ok and even gave milk and wine in the fridge but the extra bonus was his homemade chocolate cake which was delicious. The cottage is a great size for two people and very cosy, beds were comfy and the hot tub is a great bonus on a sunny day. There’s plenty nearby to visit and no more than 30 minutes from ashford outlet, Canterbury and my favourite place Herne Bay. We really enjoyed our stay here and had a great time talking to Tim, he gave some great advice on places to visit which we are looking forward to doing when we come back. I highly recommend this cottage if you want a nice little getaway from the hussle of the busy capital. There is one thing I’d mention there’s no WiFi which for us wasn’t a problem as we wanted to get away from all that but you do get signal so you won’t be cut off from the outside world. Looking forward to returning

Tim & Dee were great hosts and surprised us with a cake and Prosecco on arrival.
Tim & Dee were great hosts and surprised us with a cake and Prosecco on arrival. Our dog was free to roam in the garden and we enjoyed the hot tub.
Great little getaway, off the main track yet close to Canterbury.
Not a lot grocery shops around so be prepared or don't mind a 20mins drive.
Recommend and consider to go back!!

Good location for shopping in outlet and Canterbury. Easy to get to Dover Castle which is worth a visit. Very quiet and very dark! Coming from London this was strange. The property was small but warm and cosy. Friendly owner.

Very compact and comfortable small barn conversion cottage.
Very compact and comfortable small barn conversion cottage. Idyllic rural setting with a large enclosed garden. Hot tub outside the two cottages (shared). Spiral staircase to the upstairs bedroom - so need to be mobile! No WiFi on site and variable mobile signal. Freeview television. Excellent location for dogs - both in the enclosed garden and nearby footpaths. Easy access to the North Downs Way.
Owner Tim is very welcoming and approachable. Cake and a bottle of wine on arrival as well as milk in the fridge - very welcome.
