Kitchen area: With electric cooker, microwave and fridge.

Bedroom 1: With double bed and oak beams.
Bedroom 2: With twin beds and oak beams.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, and toilet.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. Cot available on request. . Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Visit England 3 Star.. Set in 10 acres of gardens and meadows on the foothills of the Skiddaw range, Garries Cottage is adjoining the owner’s 17th Century home, in a quiet and tranquil area above Bassenthwaite village. Garries Cottage has open plan living space with Lakeland stone fireplace with open fire and beams. The kitchen overlooks the rear garden where you can see a variety of visiting wildlife, red squirrels and woodpeckers are common visitors. From this elevated position you can see Bassenthwaite Lake with panoramic views of the surrounding fells and over to the West, some spectacular sunsets. Many grades of walking direct from the door, from gentle woodland and meadow walks to the more strenuous heights of Skiddaw. An area of occasional farms nestling into the fells reached by meandering lanes and far from the madding crowds, but within easy reach of Keswick and Cockermouth and the popular northern fells and lakes.
