We had a truly wonderful week in Levisham, the cottage was very well equipped and furnished, and very comfortable, with everything needed for self-catering to hand. The cottage is very well maintained and beautifully decorated, and within the grounds of the owners' home, which has some beautiful views and walks around wildflower fields, a landscaped area with pond, and wooded areas. There is an abundance of wildlife right by the cottage, many types of birds plus visiting deer, badgers, voles, butterflies and bats. It really is a special place, very easy to reach the main road within five minutes' drive and within easy access to many other wonderful places to explore/enjoy. Last but not least are the lovely owners, Gill and Ron. They are very friendly and just want you to enjoy your holiday. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They provided some lovely home made cakes, milk, bread, orange juice, wine, sweets, biscuits and beverage sachets/packs. We loved everything about the cottage and village/surroundings and hope to visit next year.
A very well appointed and comfortable cottage All our were needs were satisfied. Hosts were excellent, well informed and exceedingly helpful. We especially enjoyed the garden which is a wildlife haven due to their endeavours.

Not having had the opportunity to take holiday in the last two years, this was precisely the break and the location for which I was looking.
The welcome was warm, the cottage and its facilities were first class, the area is beautifully tranquil and the local amenities are all that one would wish. The owners house is immediately outside the front door of the cottage, their presence is not intrusive, but they are readily accessible, if assistance is required.
I would happily rebook this cottage and I commend it to anyone, who enjoys comfort, beauty and tranquility.

This was a comfortable and well provided for cottage with all amenities present for a vacation.
This was a comfortable and well provided for cottage with all amenities present for a vacation. The garden were also spectacular with lots of sitting out areas in and out of cover.
The local pub was good and you could walk to the North York Railway Station could also be also be accessed from here by walking, walking back demanded a bit more fortitude. The village had a nice atmosphere but shops were a drive out of the village.
The area had many areas to visit and is rich in both history and scenery.
