Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer (shared). Enclosed garden with patio, barbecue and garden furniture. Children’s play area. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: Holidaymakers only.. Enjoying a peaceful working farm setting, and views from its secure garden, this converted single, storey stable block is of an excellent standard. Visitors are welcome to roam across 120 acres of open farmland, with an abundance of wild birds, an amazing 64 species, making it a twitcher’s paradise. Young children will delight in the play area and outside toys. Mainsforth is a small, picturesque village just 7 miles from Durham and its magnificent cathedral, fine amenities and riverside walks. Beamish Open Air Museum, the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland’s sandy beaches are all easily accessible.

This cottage was situated in quiet peaceful surroundings and the proprietors were always available and extremely helpful. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a nice touch of cupcakes on our arrival. We were quite close to main towns and also the seaside. The cottage was cosy and well equipped. Ideal for a small family. We took our 6 month old grand daughter and everything was provided for her. Felt very safe even with Covid 19!! All rules were followed to keep us safe. We had the most amazing week here in August.

We had the most amazing week here in August. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and brilliantly located. Our young boys loved being on a working farm and delighted in tractor rides and playing with the resident dog. Everyone was so welcoming and engaging. The location is amazing with so much to do within a 30m drive. The memories will last us a life time and I’m sure we will be back. Thanks so much!
