In a magnificent rural setting, these comfortable holiday properties were winners of the Keswick Tourism Association Country Establishments in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and the Cumbria in Bloom Tourist Board Rose Bowl for Self-Catering Establishment winners in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Rose Cottage is attached to the owner’s farmhouse home, Rambling Rose and Rosedale are adjacent and have both been converted to a high standard, and Primrose Cottage has been converted from a former byre. The cottages are beautifully furnished and equipped to VisitBritain ‘5 Star Gold’ standard. This warm and inviting cottage is traditionally decorated throughout. The cosy living room has a wood burner for cooler evenings, and French doors to let in plenty of light and views from the garden. The well-equipped kitchen/dining room is the perfect spot for gathering over dinner to plan the next days adventures. There is an attractive double bedroom with a comfortable four poster double bed. A further pretty twin room makes this cottage fantastic for a family getaway or a group of friends.

Guests are welcome to walk in the fields surrounding the farm where red squirrels often visit, as well offering excellent bird watching. This 500-acre farm is set in an AONB, with walks from the door plus superb fell walking nearby. There is tennis, riding and golf, as well as good fishing locally. Keswick stands on the shores of Derwent Water and is an excellent base to explore delightful Borrowdale. In the town itself are many interesting shops, inns and restaurants, as well as a leisure pool. Just 6 miles away is Bassenthwaite Lake with a variety of water sports and the Lakeland Wildlife Park. The pretty village of Caldbeck is 4 miles, with a restaurant, tea rooms and shops. Maes Gallery and tea rooms serving food daily is within 2 miles. Uldale is 2 miles with a pub serving good food, and Ireby is 1½ miles away with a cosy pub with log fire and good food. Shop 4 miles. With 30 years’ experience, guests can be ensured a relaxing and luxurious holiday.
