Lovely bolthole!
Really lovely property with everything you need. Well looked after and delicious homemade food available to buy. Peaceful location 30 minutes from Keswick. Lovely, friendly hosts. You'll be driving a lot though if you want to explore the Lakes.

About the host

Hosted by Joanne Baird

Host profile image
At Red Hall Farm in Cumbria, Martin and Joanne Baird, with their two children, are carrying on a family farming tradition which stretches back more than 200 years but they’re also bang up to date with the concept of smart, sustainable farming in the 21st century. The renovation of an old bothy and grain store into a pair of beautifully contemporary holiday cottages is one key part of this, where families can experience life on a working farm and get closer to nature, whilst staying in the lap of luxury.

Why they chose this property

Peace and quiet, beautiful farm buildings set in 200 acres of wildlife friendly farm land. So close to the amazing Lake District, Solway Coast, historic Carlisle and Hadrian's Wall.

What makes this property unique

We are complimented on the fact that guests love the peaceful setting and the unique farm experience. We are a perfect base for exploring the many attractions in the area, which guests particularly enjoy. We are also constantly complimented on how baby, toddler and child friendly the cottages and outside area are.
