We enjoyed our stay but property needs a complete Revamp Oven door didn’t shut properly allowing heat to escape thus cooking took ages Only one oven shelf and two lid less pans One shelf in fridge just not enoughPatio doors would only keep closed if locked Problem locking bathroom door One of single beds really hard and uncomfortable cushion covers not overly clean Stains on carpets and sofas We were disappointed overall with cottage but it could have been really nice and very bad weather obviously not your fault The only thing that saved our holiday from being a disaster was my family members who I went with The cottage really does need a complete makeover

We had an amazing family holiday at Long Mynd.
We had an amazing family holiday at Long Mynd. The apartment is spacious and so well equipped for a young family with nice travel cot and high chair. It’s so quiet and peaceful outside and incredibly close to Ambleside (less than 5 min walk and there’s a fantastic playground by the church).

Used as a base for a 3 day weekend mountain biking with a few friends. Fit the bill perfectly clean and well set out with everything you need. Not 100% spotless but that suited us better, if anything. 5 minutes walk into the village. Lovely patio area at the back (unfortunately, didn't get used due to the weather) over looking the river. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic time all Long Mynd.
We had a fantastic time all Long Mynd.
My only criticism is purely administrative - I phoned the day before our arrival to check if there was WiFi available at the property and was told by the office that there wasn't any Wifi, however there is excellent Wifi so I am not sure why I was told to the contrary. The second administrative issue was the lack of light bulbs - several of the lounge lightbulbs need replacing and I am surprised that this is not checked regularly.

The cottage was lovely, and very well located for local shops, restaurants and walks directly from the house. Unfortunately the heating was off when we arrived and it was freezing cold. It did warm up with a boost to the radiators. Generally the accommodation was excellent and we would be happy to return.
