Fantastic house in an amazing location. Very spacious, there were 8 of us staying, and there was ample room and bathrooms to suit us all. It has everything you could ever need. The garage was an added bonus with the wet weather we had to dry our wet gear. So close to keswick with all the amenities. Lots of walks straight from the door. We never used the car the whole week we stayed. I would definitely stop here again.

This was a lovely cottage to stay in.
This was a lovely cottage to stay in. Although situated in a residential area, it is a benefit to the property as it is so peaceful - it also means a lovely walk through the park into Keswick! We went on several walks from the front door - it's a great location not only for local fells, but also to easily access roads out of Keswick. The house itself is really spacious. My only real gripe was the price, which seemed quite inflated for half term compared to other times of year (and indeed, the same half term 2021). I would still recommend it as a base though and we hope to return in the future.

Nice house with plenty room for a large family.
Nice house with plenty room for a large family. Comfy beds and nice and warm. Lovely views from the front windows. As with other cottages we’ve stayed in this year that have supposed to be deep cleaned it didn’t seem like it had been and was a bit grubby in areas.

Spacious home with everything you would need to enjoy your holiday.
Spacious home with everything you would need to enjoy your holiday. We had a lovely weekend break with our family get - together. The Storm Dennis spoilt the weather but there is nothing you can do about that we still had a good time.

Very good stay at Briar Rigg for 7 of us over New Year.
Very good stay at Briar Rigg for 7 of us over New Year. Nice house, well equipped and in a good location. Just a few minor quibbles - top oven didn't work, toaster always tripped a fuse, and downstairs toilet didn't flush properly. and the conservatory has no heating so it's very cold to be in there and watch tv/dvds. But none of that stopped us from having a very good week.

Great spacious property even for a family of 8.
Great spacious property even for a family of 8. Clean & comfortable. Good supply of crockery, cutlery etc & plenty of hot water. good location. Hope to go again in the future.
Ample parking for 2 family sized cars but would struggle to get 4 on the drive as advertised. Didn't bother us as we only had 2 cars.

A great base for a multi generation holiday with walks from the door and just a short walk across the park to town centre and bus station.
Sofas and beds very comfy, enough kitchen equipment to self cater for 8. Oh and 3 toilets and showers!!
Briar Rigg could to with a few maintenance jobs, 3 blown bulbs in the kitchen, outside light not working, downstairs wet room not draining well, en suite shower door can easily come off runners. But for comfort, the fabulous view to the front, quiet location and space inside, I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

A super base to explore Keswick and the wider Lake District.
A super base to explore Keswick and the wider Lake District. House is ideally located and has most things you need. Only criticism is the equipment in the kitchen - for a home that caters for 8, there isn't the range of cooking utensils needed to cook a large family meal. Good showers in every bathroom. Warm house. Beds very comfy. Parking spaces.

Lovely house.
Lovely house. Good location near the A66 and within really easy walking distance of town. Very close to an excellent pub and a bikers cafe for breakfast. House has everything you need including places to dry your wet gear (we were there over a very wet weekend and this was really useful). We like it for the private parking so we can arrive and park then leave the cars alone until we go home.
