There are lovely walks from your doorstep, pack a picnic and stop at one of the picnic benches around the ponds and estate where you can relax and make the most of the spectacular scenery. There is an abundance of wildlife to spot, have your camera the ready to snap red squirrels, deer, pine martens and so many wild birds including ospreys. Great lodge in a lovely setting, a short walk through the woods to Killin village. Very clean and good facilities. The only downside was there was no mobile signal and the wifi was very slow and didn't work most of the time (the router was in a different lodge)

We had a lovely time staying in the Maple cottage.
We had a lovely time staying in the Maple cottage. Really loved the area for walks and exploring. The cottage was lovely and warm. Clean and well equipped. Found the bed a little bit hard for my liking, but that’s my only little grumble.
