It is in an excellent position, making it easy to explore many of the areas within Gloucestershire and neighbouring Monmouthshire and Worcestershire. It is particularly close to Cinderford and Mitcheldean, within the Forest of Dean. Places of interest nearby include, English Heritage’s Goodrich Castle, the National Trust Round House and Naval Temple, Norchard Railway Station Museum on the Dean Forest Railway, the Forest Adventure Outdoor Centre, Puzzlewood, Monmouth Castle and the regimental centre. There are also walks, golf and mountain biking nearby. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
