Excellent 2 bedroom cottage with enclosed back yard which was ideal for sitting outside with the dogs. Allonby is a quiet coastal village with long stretching sandy beach. Within a short drive to the northern lakes. Recommended.

The Costins is a lovely cozy and warm home from home , the outdoor space at the back is bigger than I expected and would be lovely to sit out in during the warmer months . The cottage is very close to the beach which we loved and so did my little dog , a perfect place if you want a peaceful holiday , not a lot for children but the play park is very well equipped and kids I'm sure will love the famous ice cream shop and if you have a car there is an aquarium and water center only a few minutes away in Maryport . I will definitely be back in the future.

Wonderful cottage very clean and tidy had everything we needed.

Wonderful cottage very clean and tidy had everything we needed. Used it as a base to visit the lakes and other areas even nipped over the border in to Scotland. My 2 dogs were in heaven having the beach so close literally just over the road. The ship in pub just around the corner serves food. The only thing we weren't prepared for was not having a local shop if we needed anything. So preparation needed to be better but while out and about we collected things as required. Graet place if you desire a quite getaway.

The Costins is a great little property and has everything you could need for your holiday.

The Costins is a great little property and has everything you could need for your holiday. The house is warm and clean and we enjoyed it very much. The WIFI was also perfect which is not always the case when you go away. Allonby is a very quiet location with a massive beach that is dog friendly. There's a couple of pubs, a tea room, Ice Cream parlour and a fish shop and not a lot else apart from caravan parks. Ideal for a quiet weekend, but also close to places like Keswick, Carlisle, Cockermouth and other smaller towns and villages if you want a drive out. Had a great weekend chilling. Great location.

Great location. Beach 5 minute walk. Equipment in house good value. Smoke alarm very temperamental need to keep door into living room closed when cooking. Few problems toilet flush sticking and needs attention. A lot of dust under settees and shower head keeps lifting and spraying whole of bathroom. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

The lower location score is due to the fact that on this visit none of the two pubs the village now allow dogs inside, making it a long drive for somewhere to eat and no drink or local conversations on an evening as weather was not good enough to sit outside.
