This marvellous apartment is located along the Grand Canal. From this position you will enjoy the panorama and immerse yourself in the magical Venice atmosphere! Amazing full view - like a postcard.



ADMIRAL EMO PALACE is on the first floor of an important venetian building – Emo Palace to Maddalena. The apartament is composed of a bright and spacious living room furnished in aristocratic style divided from the relax zone; a little kitchenette, a double bedroom and a bed-pouf for one person, finally a bathroom with shower. It is well equipped with everything you need for a stay: independent heating, hair dryer, air conditioning, sheets and towels, WI-FI and TV. The apartment is a microcosm of Venetian culture and style.



Great location, peaceful and quiet. It is close enough to water taxi transportation, few minutes walk to main attractions like Rialto bridge, Ebraic district, Santa Maria dei Miracoli Chruch and right in front of Cà Pesaro Art Gallery, but tucked away from the primary tourist promenade. Sestiere Canareggio (the district) is perfectly served, you find cafes, bars and supermarkets. The city offers many restaurants and “bacari” (little taverns) where you can taste the typical dishes of the venetian tradition.

Venice on the Grand Canal

We loved this quiet, tucked away location on the Grand Canal. The apartment was roomy with a beautiful view of the water. We missed a few creature comforts, but the location was so convenient and charming we did not care.

Nice apartment, lovely views out the living room window, a bit faded

The apartment has many positives, especially the views out the living room window and the location. However, it is a bit faded, and some defects. The blinds, window shades, and shutters are all old and not completely working. The bathroom has a number of chips and cracks.

Location Location Location

A unique experience living in a typical Venetian apartment literally on the Grand Canal. Don’t be bothered by the slightly worn lived-in feel. Just watch the world pass by from the large windows overlooking the canal. Apt is spacious with lovely, interesting antiques. AC in living room will keep you very cool while the bedroom only has a fan. We will return. The place grew on us every day and we were sorry to leave. Also loved the neighborhood and proximity to the Vaporetto. A special find. - just don’t expect super luxury.

Great location

Right on the grand canal and close to everything. We had a water taxi drop us right next to the building which was perfect. The apartment is big with 3 windows facing the canal and the bedroom windows facing the courtyard. The place may seem a little outdated and some furniture run down, HOWEVER, you understand very quickly that everything is vintage and it brings character to the entire place. Good communication for check in and check out. I love that it’s a self check in so you don’t have to be on a tight schedule to get there. It’s super quiet but once you pass a few little streets, you’re right in the middle of everything. Close to a good supermarket too (5 min walk max), good breakfast and restaurants right there too. Highly recommended. It’s on the 1st floor with easy stairs.

Magical city

The location was the best! Windows opened over looking the grand canal! Water taxi was 30 feet out the door. Very convenient. The mattress needs replaced. Very uncomfortable. Lighting outside in the courtyard is needed. There is a switch for the stairway but you have to walk 30 feet through the courtyard to get to the switch. Very scary coming home in the evenings. Other than those couple things, the place was perfect and the location was spectacular. So close to everything. Even a very popular breakfast café as soon as you come out of the street. We ate breakfast and had cappuccinos every morning

A bit of TLC could make this place amazing

Location is amazing. Two windows overlooking the canal - amazing. It is a bit off the beaten path in an area that seems to transition between touristy and local. Two terrific supermarkets within 8 minutes. Most places you want to go are within 20 minutes walk. Plenty of eateries within 10 minutes. Our primary criticism is that everything in the apartment looks burnt out. We were comfortable. It is super quiet. What it needs: - A proper quality mattress. - Decor that doesn't look like charity shop finds. - If a turntable and records are offered, the turntable should work. (It doesn't. Either needle is fried or tone bar is out of balance.) I think that with little effort and not alot of money, someone could triple the quality of the place. It has so much potential!!

Cleaning process issues

First of all, I loved this property. It’s far enough off the main drags of Venice to be quiet. The views from the windows are amazing. The only complaint I have is related to the trash policy. The price to stay at this spot is more expensive than a hotel, and yet there is no trashcan provided, only a map of places to take your trash, along with a notice that a hefty fee will be fined if any trash is left. For me, it is an annoying process to drop off trash in various places to avoid a fee on top of an already expensive place to stay. It’s a modern convenience that should be included in a vacation spot. My partner and I had to prioritize this on check out, which is already a stressful process, and having to find a trash drop off during this process was very annoying. We were charged a cleaning fee, and this part of it should be included.

Overpriced and terrible communication

Okay apartment. Nice location. If you want to experience the pinnacle of terrible communication and shady business practice by a host, I encourage you to book this place. All checkin info is withheld until you pay 3rd party Venice tourist tax. This is not stated anywhere in the rental listing on VRBO. This extra payment comes from a shady looking email (not related to VRBO) so it was filtered to spam. I messaged this host the day I booked this stay to enquire about the checkin process as there is no info about it, he never responded… for 3 months. He also didn’t respond via VRBO chat until after I contacted VRBO help line who gave me this host’s ‘contact numbers’… which are blank lines with voicemails to text him on WhatsApp. I had to book other accommodations last minute because I couldn’t obtain the withheld checkin details and host not responding. VRBO with no protections against terrible hosts and sketchy listings. Book elsewhere with a different host! Summary if you do book this apartment: - Know this host does not respond through the VRBO app unless it’s after your checkin time and it will be frustrating. - This host is terrible and will be quick to tell you he manages 300 properties and doesn’t have time to respond to every message, yours included. - There was a burn on the bed cover, hair in the bathroom and someone else’s used hair ties and shampoo left behind upon checkin but I’m overlooking those because my main issue with this rental is the management

Geräumige Wohnung mit toller Aussicht auf den Canale Grande, gute Lage. Leider kein hilfsbereiter Vermieter: Habe ein Schmuckstück im Schlafzimmer vergessen und sehr nett um Zusendung gebeten bei selbstverständlicher Aufwands/Kostenübernahme: keine Anwort auf meine beiden mails, keine Rücksendung. Wir waren immerhin 1 Woche zum entsprechenden Preis in der Wohnung. Sehr schockierendes Verhalten....

Beautiful!

The pictures of this property are not over-played: the views from this little apartment are amazing. Navigating Venice is not easy, and finding this little gem did take some time, but it was so worth it to stay off the main drags, but still close enough to everything you might need (including an absolutely delicious restaurant right around the corner)! The rooms were clean and spacious, and everything was clearly laid out as far as procedures for check in and check out. The host was communicative and kind. We would absolutely recommend this property!
