LATINA BRICK (STREET RELATORES )
I am renting out my charming apartment LATINA BRICK in Madrid. This is a fully renovated and newly furnished airy two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in a brick townhouse. The master bedroom (2 twin beds)has it's own bath while the second bedroom on the other side of the living room has a bath adjacent. It's fully furnished with a high end kitchen and bathrooms, and a washer/drying in the unit (yay!). This is the hottest area of Madrid to live at the moment, the subway is just down the block. This fully furnished apartment features exposed brick and stone walls and high ceilings. The decor is sleek and modern while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming feeling. The First Coolest neighbourhood in the world by TimeOut: "Madrid might be the world’s most exciting capital right now, and Embajadores is its most colourful neighbourhood. This is a place where people from near and far live side by side, cooking up a bustling cultural life. To the north, Plaza Tirso de Molina is the territory of florists by day, and at night fills with young revellers queuing to get into Medias Puri, the city’s club of the moment. To the south are Tabacalera and La Casa Encendida, two huge cultural centres standing like transatlantic vessels run ashore in the middle of the city. You can dine on Indian specialities served atop a flowery oilcloth, or get a divine Moroccan lamb tagine for an absurdly low price. Nightlife and street life, street art and high culture, food and people from across the world: in Embajadores, you’ll find it all. EAT On Sundays when the Rastro market is on, you’ll find Santurce packed in with punters clambering for their share of the bar’s famous sardines. DRINK Relax with a gin and tonic in the legendary Sala Equis, a former adult cinema that’s now a drinking hole. DO Go see a play at the Art Deco theatre El Pavón-Kamikaze, leaving time to have a couple of cold beers in the theatre bar: a buzzing local hangout in its own right. STAY A couple of minutes to the north, Hotel ME Madrid Reina Victoria dominates the local skyline with its illuminated 1920s tower. The view from the rooftop bar is spectacular".

Great location! Within walking distance to Royal Palace, museums, grocery stores. Metro is just a few steps away and the trains will take you everywhere. Our host gave us a Metro card to start us off. She also gave us names of restaurants to try.Very clean! Spacious! Family friendly!
Very nice, perfect for a city break, great location in heart of city, bakeries, cafes, restaurants jyst outside, metro 30 steps from door, 24 hour Supermarket 3 min walk.
Latina Brick was perfect for our 13 day holiday in Spain. We rented a car and used the parking garage across the street. The apartment was nice to come back to after our long drives but was perfectly placed for walking all over City Central. Great communication and check in was so easy. Highly recommended staying in this property.

Nice place
Nice place. Good location with beach, shopping, and club access
We had a fantastic stay visiting my son who is studying in Madrid. Steps away from anything you would want! Apartment was clean and the owners were so great to work with and gave us great recommendations for activities and restaurants. Great stay in Madrid!
The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It was both modern and characterful. It was perfectly located for sightseeing - we could easily walk everywhere - and there were lots of great restaurants etc nearby. We would very happily stay there again.
The flat was well appointed for comfort, and perfectly located for walking to the sites in Madrid. Communications with the owner were great, and she had good suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Highly reccommend!
The property was clean and bright and had everything we needed. Loved the exposed walls gave it charm. Communication wit the owner was very good and we did not arrive until 10pm and the lady was there to meet us.
A great place to stay. The host was really generous and accommodated our early arrival. Helena provided lots of great information and responded promptly to any inquiries. She also was helpful arranging taxi services. The apartment is very quiet, but within a 10-15 minute walk (or 5 minutes on the terrific Metro) we could easily be at the museums or major plazas. Thank you!

Great Location!
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Located in a "locals type" neighborhood but close enough to all the attractions to walk. It was nice to come back to a quieter location at the end of the day. The unit was nicely decorated and very clean. Owner was very accessible and communicated well prior to our arrival. We would definitely come back! Thank you!

Location - Location - Location.
Easy for Airport/Atocha 203 transfer on foot
Very walkable for visiting Palace. Retiro, Prado, Latina, Sol/Gran Via, Belles Artes, Thyssen, Botanic
Super place. Clean. Friendly, helpful check in. Well equipped kitchen area. Good water pressure for showers. Convenient shopping nearby for basics and a few minutes on foot to the Latina market. Everything you need.
A lovely apartment in a location that would be hard to beat. All the key locations walkable. Two bathrooms (which doesn't seem that common in Madrid in this price bracket) and very nice, comfortable bedrooms with a good kitchen area and tastefully decorated lounge. Communications with Carmen (the owner) were timely and helpful, and the arrival arrangements through the agents (Jose and Helena) were great and they couldn't have done more to help. Highly recommended.
This apartment is on a low floor, in a very narrow street, and gets no sunlight. We had to turn on electric lights even on sunny days. We’d step out on its tiny balcony and look straight up to see a bit of sky and find out whether that day was sunny or cloudy. Website photos, shot with strong lights, don’t reflect that darkness at noon. Other than that, the apartment was reasonably comfortable (would be even better if beds had headboards, more pillows, and unclogged water drains). Good location.

Lovely experience, top to bottom.
The apartment is lovely - looks better in-person than the photos convey. Perfect size for the two of us - luxuriously sized for two, in fact. Light-filled living room. Great bathroom! Nice kitchen, plenty of room to cook small meals (we did breakfast in every morning), large fridge. Everything looks brand new, stylish, high-quality. The little extras are a nice touch, too, making the place feel like home and you feel like a true guest.
Location is perfect - everything you want is nearby but the apartment is on a nice side street. Very walk-able neighborhood, in every direction. The evening sounds can be heard, particularly on a weekend night - nothing disturbing or intrusively loud but, if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. My husband did not need them, I slept like a baby with their use.
We certainly wished for more days in this lovely apartment.

Bring blankets
We stayed in Latina Brick in early July 2016. It's a small apartment located in an average neighborhood. Our main problem was that there are no blankets on the beds - only very light sheets. We like it cold when we sleep, and while the air conditioner worked well, we had no real blankets on the beds. So we were forced to keep the room warmer than we'd normally like when we sleep. I asked Sol the property manager for blankets on our second day, but she never provided them. And she gave me a good deal of attitude when I asked for them. For that alone, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Dear Guest, As I explained to you since 2009 is not allowed in Spain to set up the air conditioning in summer below 78 fahrenheit (26 C). Air conditioning is a huge waste of energy and we try to be respectful with the environment. There is a minimum penalty of 3.000 euros if the air conditioning is set up below 78. Madrid is very hot in summer and forecast during your stay was max of 100/102 fahrenheit.
Unfortunately we do not supply blankets because we want to fulfill the law and we are also very respectful with the environment. I suggested just to low the air conditioning or to switch it off. It is unbelievable that you need blankets with so high temperature.
I also accepted a very late check in without EXTRA CHARGE, you missed your flight and you arrive to Madrid at 1.00am in the morning. You did not call me or advise me until you was in Madrid. I was at bed at home when you call me and I wake up and I go to open the apartment and give you the keys.
I please ask you for the future to be more respectful with the people who is working (just to advise that you miss your flight) and with the environment.
Thank you for your stay.
This apartment was a great find, a short walk away from many of the major sites. It was also very close to a number of terrific tapas bars and restaurants, as well as grocery stores. The apartment is well-equipped on a side street, so it was generally quiet. Our host had us met at the airport, a big perk for weary travelers. Two very minor issues. We arrived at Madrid very early (7:00) but the apartment could not accommodate us or our bags until one o'clock, so we ended up passing the time at a nearby coffee shop. We found out later that there are several luggage storage facilities in the area, so we recommend checking that out if you arrive early. Also, we could not seem to get the washer/dryer machine to work properly. I have read that this is sometimes a problem with this appliance, but we may not have followed the directions very well. I suggest having the hosts go over instructions on the appliances thoroughly.
Bottom line--a terrific base for exploring Madrid.
We had a wonderful stay in Madrid at this location. The apartment was well outfitted and conveniently located. Access was easy, while safe. Beds were comfy. Cute balconies looked out on the street. There is a hostel on the same street, so a little bit of late night noise, but not enough to keep me awake. The other bedroom was very quiet. Three very convenient grocery stores were within a 5-7 minute walk, as well as some great restaurants. Madrid is awesome and this was a delightful apartment as a home base for our experience.
The only small issue we had was that we were told to call once we landed and had our luggage so that they knew when we would arrive and would meet us. We had to use our own phones to call, even though we had WhatsApp or text, which would have been cheaper. When we called, we were told that they couldn't be there for an hour, though our drive only took 20 minutes. We parked ourselves at a small restaurant around the corner and had a coffee. After the 17 hour travel time, it would have been nice to get right in.
That said, the person who met us was very nice and knowledgeable. She gave us some great tips and kept in touch to make sure that we had transport back to the airport on departure. It really was such a great place to stay! We would use it again!
Great Place and location. The checking process was seamless. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We were met at the apartment and given a full tour of the place - this was very nice.
The kitchen was very nicely equipped and satisfied all out needs. Overall great experience. Thank you for letting us stay at your apartment during our vacation.

About the host
Hosted by CARMEN
MADRID is the place to be!!!! I am a world traveler who prefers to stay at vacation rental properties because there is nothing more than having a place you can call home. What better way to soak up the local culture than to feel a part of the neighborhood? This is what I extend to my guests when they stay at my place. For those who want to be more than just a tourist passing by, you will find living in LATINA PALACE and LATINA SOL an experience you will never forget.
Why they chose this property
It is a unique property from 1749 fully refurnished on an unbeatable location.
What makes this property unique
There are a huge number of things to do in Madrid, but it is often the famous Madrid shopping streets that lure people into renting Madrid accommodation. The fashion boutiques and local craft shops which adorn the central business district mean that shopping holidays in Madrid are never far from the top of the list for shopping destinations. The huge range of styles and cuisine of Madrid restaurants also helps to keep energy levels high, and fantastic cooking courses lasting between a single session and a whole week can easily be arranged. The medieval centre of Madrid hides many fantastic monuments. Those taking a Madrid weekend break are best staying in accommodation close to the historic centre, as there is so much here that you can fit a huge amount into just a short Madrid city break. The ‘big three’ museums in Madrid, the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia, hold famous collections of art, and tourism in Madrid is often centred around the Puerta del Sol right in the city centre.
