A luxury Visit England 5* Gold Rated holiday cottage with two beautiful bedrooms, one double and one twin which can be linked to make a double. Both offer individual en-suites; one with a large walk-in shower, the other with a large bath big enough for two, each fitted with TVs. The open-plan living/dining room boasts beautiful oak beams and luxurious fittings throughout. The fully equipped kitchen extends to a family dining area. A complimentary welcome pack is provided for your enjoyment. The Digey is one of the most iconic streets in St Ives’ Downalong district. The narrow cobbled street connects Fore Street, near the harbour with Back Road West near Porthmeor beach on the other side of the isthmus. It is not certain where the name ‘Digey’ comes from but one theory is it comes from dye-chy meaning dye house, where the boat sails were dyed.

Beautiful cottage
One of the best cottages we have stayed in in St. Ives. Well equipped and all furnishings and fitting were of high quality. Had the benefit of a reserved parking place but as this was about a mile from the property we didn't use it as parking wasn't too bad at this time of year. Have booked to stay again later in year.

Wonderful cottage in St Ives
We have stayed in many cottages in St Ives over the last 40 years and Wella is by far the best accommodation we have had.
The location is so convenient and the condition of the property is fantastic.
The only downside for us was that there is only one shower in the property. The other bedroom only has a bath and would benefit hugely by having a shower installed over the bath which would be quite easy to do.
Otherwise, a perfect stay and we’ll be back.

Excellent accommodation and location
Excellent accommodation - stylish and beautifully decorated. Lovely personal touches such as fresh flowers. Location was first class - in the heart of St Ives yet felt quiet and safe. Very much hope we can return to Wella in the future.

A great place to stay
We had a great stay at Wella. The location was brilliant, so close to the beach and town but also lovely and quiet.
The cottage itself was perfect. It had everything we needed as a family of 4, and the welcome pack was a lovely addition.

Stunning cottage, in the heart of St Ives
Recently stayed as a family of two adults two children. Set back from the Main Street within a beautiful private gated courtyard. The cottage is set out perfectly to a high standard of finishes. This is our second stay here and would return in a heartbeat.

Wella in The Digey - amazing ❤️
Wella is part of My Cottages in St Ives group of properties in The Digey. We have previously used all of their properties, again this year, absolutely excellent. The Housekeeper ‘Marie’, is wonderful and every aspect of the property was top class. Also benefits from a beautiful shared secure courtyard and private parking, both hard to find in St Ives. We holiday around six times a year in St Ives and would always try to return to these properties.

Weekend break with friends
We stayed in Wella for the weekend and on arrival we were very impressed with the location and the cleanliness. The welcome pack was very useful, and a nice touch was the ready reader glasses on the bookshelf. The cottage is a short walk to the harbour, shops and pubs with very good entertainment.
We would definitely stay again and our friends have said the same

Just the most beautiful little place to stay!
I don’t know where to start other than to say this was by far the best cottage we have ever stayed in! We have already booked to return next year!
It was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped with the loveliest of finishing touches were provided. Everything was finished to a high standard and the quality of the design and interiors is another level. It is in a great location, a minutes walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, cafes etc.
We felt totally relaxed staying in Wella and can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you.

Even better second time around
First return and didn’t disappoint. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, about these cottages is perfect. Location, comfort, security, attention to detail, decor, quality of every item, tech and especially upkeep are all gold standard. Could not recommend more highly. We will be back. Regularly. Thank you so much.

Excellent accommodation!
Perfect accommodation in St Ives! Convenient location, comfortable and very well equipped, definitely would stay again. Only downside is the parking options of either free but out of town up a very steep hill so not convenient if you want to drive to places or pay for the Island car park which is impossible to find a space - always full, you have to sit and wait for someone to leave. Even if you prepay for a space, the barrier won.t lift if the car park is full! They obviously over sell spaces. We witnessed someone who prepaid for the Island and there were no spaces!!

Top notch cottage
The Wella Cottage was superb, it was so clean and in good condition, it was like brand new. Quality of furnishings, utilities, the heating system, everything was 5 star, so many things had been thought of, it was wonderful. The bedrooms were beautiful and so comfortable. It was a short break for me and my friend to relax and the cottage was perfect. I know St Ives very well so I loved the location and it did help having the St Ives bakery a few steps away. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and certainly sorted out our breakfast for the next morning! It was so quiet as well, no traffic or sound of people walking by as its set back in with an extra set of gates. Not that we needed it, but there is even a shower outside to get that unwanted sand of as well. We would not hesitate in recommending a stay at this wonderful little cottage.

Great cottage
Having stayed in St Ives many times over the years, we have booked a number of cottages, all very high quality but Wella was certainly one of the best. It’s so well equipped, finished to a very high standard and a more central location is hard to find. We loved staying here and managed to get a parking spot on the Island car park, being off season, but the free parking space provided with the cottage would be very useful in the busier periods. Highly recommend this lovely little cottage

A beautiful house in the heart of beautiful St Ives
We couldn't have wanted more - a beautiful house in the heart of St Ives, the sun shone & our holiday was just perfect. The house is secluded yet in the heart of St Ives with everything you could need and more. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard, there is nothing more we could have asked for except to have stayed longer! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic property
Wella is a beautifully presented property right in the heart of St Ives. Location is great but the little courtyard makes it a quiet haven amongst the hustle and bustle. The cottage is spotlessly clean and is very well equipped. Very close to stunning beaches (our favourite was Porthgwidden) and coastal walks. 4.5 miles to Zennor and 5 miles to Birdies Bistro in Hayle. Been to Wella twice this year and can’t wait to return.

About the host
Hosted by Gary Beeston
I grew up in the North East in a small mining community near Thornaby (is that right?). The greatest event of the year for myself, my brother and sister was the annual trip to St Ives for our summer holiday, despite the long drive and the constant “Dad are we nearly there yet”, the first view of the beautiful bay as you come into the town never failed to take our breath away and fill us with excitement for the days ahead. Those holidays gave me such fond memories, I wanted to re-create the experience for my son and grandson, so in 2015 I purchased the three cottages which were in a near derelict condition with the vision of creating some wonderful holiday cottages where the magic could be shared not only with friends and family but also our valued guests. Today we still come to St Ives for our Summer holiday and what a joy it is to see my mother and father spending time on the beach with their children, grandchildren and 5 year old great grandson. We hope you enjoy the living spaces we have provided and that you can create some wonderful memories of your own with your friends and families.
Why they chose this property
After many holidays in St Ives over the years it was always our dream to own our own cottage in the Town. We are now living that dream! The cottages were purchased in 2015 due to their prime location on the prettiest and most photographed street in St Ives. The properties were in a near derelict condition and sadly in need of lots of tender loving care.
What makes this property unique
The property has been renovated to the highest of standards by local craftsmen who incorporated local timber and slate into the re-build. The interior has been fitted and decorated with the highest quality furnishing and fixtures giving a very luxurious feel in the living spaces. There are unique touches throughout the property which gives it a quirky feel that makes you smile. The property is close to the beach and harbour front and is in an excellent location to enjoy all the local facilities. Wella is luxury living at its finest.
