About this property

Spring Fed Cabin

Disconnect with the best of back to nature in this semi-off grid, solar powered (with backup system), spring-fed cabin in the mountains. This is perfect for couples and small families.

The cabin is located within our 60 acre property and surrounded by forests with hiking trails and our working Christmas tree farm. We often have sheep in the field below the cabin.

The cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed, a sleeping nook (in the room with the queen bed) and a pullout-sofa.

This cabin is located 15-20 minutes from Boone and 30 minutes from Blowing Rock.

Lovely Cabin
As I type this review, there are so many hyperbolic words that I want to use, but I am afraid that if I do, people reading this will think that I was paid by these outstanding owners....and I guarantee you, that such is not the case. The pictures that you see online here do not do justice of what you actually experience when you first step into this quaint get-away cabin and gaze out across the land it sits on. The cabin is only 15mins, at best, outside of Boone, NC, and very accessible off the main road to get to it. Once you arrive, you feel the welcoming warmth of the cabin. It is bright and cozy. The land it sits on is quite nice and you will enjoy the serenity that envelopes this cabin. And when they mean that the cabin is "off the grid", it is an "off the grid" structure, now that being said, you will be able to receive a cellular signal, but it is the cabin structure itself that is "off the grid", there is electricity, it is just that the energy needed is captured.....and the fact that is it, is both impressive and you just may find inspirational too I did....we did not run out of electricity (I think that one will be hard pressed to have this happen). Book this cabin....well worth it, and reasonable too. The owners are very nice and communicative....I got responses to my questions under 30mins. Parham

Stylish and Green
My husband and I stayed here for my birthday! We absolutely loved the peace and quiet of this place. We sat out on the deck enjoying the sunset and then the stars as well as the mountain air. This is a great place if you love to hike - you can hike to the blue ridge parkway from here! We also loved that we were "living off grid" for the weekend. We can't wait to come back!
