About the host
Hosted by Henrique Fernandes
I was born in this area (Mos de Celas) and despite living abroad most of my life, I have come back to my roots. These peacefull green mountains and valleys are my home.
Why they chose this property
Mosteirinho, according to my guests: "Henrique’s place is an amazing house with rustic vibes and a stunning view." "what an amazing house. beautiful inside. the area is perfect for walkers and mountain biking. we used the car as little as possible instead cycling everywhere. great fun. loads of fun tracks to follow. the place is very quiet just a small village nearby and no immediate neighbours. great sky views at night." "We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! It was secluded and romantic and our host was truly enjoyable." What else can I say?...
What makes this property unique
It is a small corner of Portugal that still remains true to it's origins, a window into the past. No pesticides or artificial fertilisers are used within the 10 hectars; Although there is running water supplied by the Municipality, we collect drinking water from the natural spring and fruit from the trees and bushes (berries) free from chemicals. The vegetable patch is also cultivated using traditional and organic methods and so is the vinyard. At night we listen to the crickets and owls and watch the stars while enjoying a beer or a glass of wine. Priceless!
