About this property
Stunning Italian Lakes villa with lake views
Summary:
Villa Caruso is a contemporary 3 bedroom Italian Lakes villa with fantastic lake views just a short drive from the nearest restaurants and lakeside beaches. It has WIFI, a private terrace, three additional private balconies, Wii games console and small library of books for guests to enjoy. It is the perfect place for families or couples travelling together.
The Space:
This Italian Lakes villa is located within a short drive of the lakeside and only 3 miles north of the busy lakeside town of Luino with its good selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Less than 5 miles from the Swiss border, the villa also provides easy access to the Swiss towns of Lugano and Locarno. Lake Como is a one hour drive and trains run direct from Luino to Milan in an hour. All this makes this Italian Lakes villa a really convenient base to enjoy some sightseeing.
This Italian Lakes villa is laid out over 3 levels. On the ground floor there is a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area leading out onto a teak decked terrace with superb lake views.
Up some stairs, there is a bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one double bedroom with balcony with lake view and one twin bedroom with views to the countryside.
Up another flight of stairs at this Italian Lakes villa, there is an extremely spacious master bedroom with kingsize bed. This has a large ensuite bathroom with shower, 'his and her' sinks and jacuzzi bath. There are two balconies for this room, one with lake views and one with views to the hills. The property is fully equipped with all the mod cons guests could want including flatscreen TV. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine in the property.
The owners have also gone to great lengths to make this Italian Lakes villa family friendly, providing a travel cot, highchair and pushchair free of charge. There is also a selection of toys, board games and children's DVDs.
There is parking at this Italian Lakes villa. This semi detached villa shares 3 parking spaces with an adjacent villa. However, some guests may find the driveway to this Italian Lakes villa quite steep but if guests are nervous about the approach, then there is plenty of space to park on the main road at the top of the drive.
Guest Access:
Guests have exclusive use of the whole property. This includes 3 bedrooms, an open plan living, dining and kitchen area and 2 bathrooms. The property also has a private terrace with lake views and 3 additional private balconies, 2 with lake views and 1 with views of the countryside behind.
The Neighborhood:
The Italian Lakes villa is located just outside the centre of Dumenza, a hillside village sitting above Lake Maggiore. Dumenza has a small supermarket as well as a small cafe, bar and restaurant.
In the other direction from this Italian Lakes villa, at the bottom of the hill, is Colmegna, a small but very pretty lakeside village. The nearest large town is Luino. Luino is a lakeside town that has seen massive improvements over the past 10 years. The lakefront has seen considerable investment. The lakeside shop facades have been restored and the old lakeside car park has been transformed into a beautiful lawned park area, the perfect setting to enjoy an evening passeggiata. Notably, Luino businesses don't shut down in the Winter due to its thriving local population.
This is a stunning part of Italy, beautiful to enjoy all year round. There are a whole host of activities to enjoy from water sports and lake swimming in the Summer, to skiing in the Winter and with superb sightseeing opportunities on offer throughout the year.
This Italian Lakes villa is situated in a quiet, rural hamlet. The location is quiet and peaceful and guests are lucky enough to often enjoy the company of two wild peacocks who live in the nearby tree. A mountain stream runs down one side of the property. To the front are views of fields and trees with stunning lake views beyond. To the rear, there are views of the countryside.
Getting Around:
Car hire is essential if guests would like to stay here. However, once at the lakeside, guests can easily use the boat network that criss crosses the lake.
Other Things to Note:
Villa Caruso is such a family friendly Italian Lakes villa. We love what it offers families to make their stay that little bit more comfortable. From a practical perspective, there is a cot, highchair and stroller, whilst for entertainment, there are plenty of games and toys. We also love its peaceful location. There are few properties in the world where you share the terrace with a couple of peacocks, or where you will sunbathe on the terrace listening to the sound of the cow bell in the nearby fields.
Interaction with Guests:
A local point of contact is provided in case guests need anything during their stay. Otherwise, guests are left to enjoy their stay in peace!
