Great property for a large family celebration spanning 4 generations. Everything we could wish for had been supplied in the house. Would highly recommend for a family get away.
We were 5 couples with 2 toddlers and the house was perfect for our stay. We spent the weekend exploring the New Forest and hanging out in Lymington. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking / eating in. Lots of space in the sitting / dining room. Check in was easy. Would recommend.
We had a great time at the house and it was perfect for what we needed. Lots of space for everyone to eat dinner and spend time together in the communal spaces. Thanks!
The house in the online photographs looks clean, tidy, with some interesting characteristics. Sadly, the reality is not very clean and the furniture, fixtures and fittings were tired and needed replacing. The house is actually on an urban main road, hidden by an unkempt, overgrown front garden with an almost impassable driveway, which was a drive from the New Forest. We were a family group of 17 persons who all got a bed, but all bedrooms needed a “wipe over” before we felt comfortable and half the mattresses needed replacing. The kitchen had a stale food aroma which opening all windows and doors could not dissipate, but removing old food from the warming drawer of the cooker helped. The communication with the owner before our arrival was intermittent and the address was only given to us a few days before arrival which made booking the catering and Tesco delivery order very stressful. We would recommend that the owner updated the lounge furniture in particular and half the bedroom mattresses.

Drab and dreary house in lovely Lymington
The best thing about our stay was the gorgeous weather and the location of the house, making it an easy to walk into Lymington. But the house itself was disappointing.
When we arrived at the check-in time of 4pm the house was cold, dark and unwelcoming. It hadn’t been well-cleaned - there were cobwebs and the kitchen surfaces and cooking equipment were greasy. The house has a lot of interior wood because of its style - which we were aware of - but because it was badly lit, it was very gloomy. The house was decorated to suit its style but it was drab and dull and not properly represented in the online photos - which made it look bright and clean. The garden was overgrown and untended and this added to the lack of light in the house. We were a group of seven singles who wanted separate rooms but because the house caters for families some of the rooms were like dormitories with little space between the beds.
We didn’t enjoy our stay in this house and would find it difficult to recommend it.
