Beautiful surroundings in the heart of Hunter Valley. Hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. We took our pooch along and he loved the fenced garden to run around in and to explore. Would recommend this place to others.

Great Stay - Beautiful Property and a very kind host

The location is ideal for families with young children, being so close to the Zoo. The backyard was peaceful and beautifully maintained—a perfect spot to relax. The host was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay, making us feel well looked after.

Great location to explore the Hunter

Fantastic location to explore the Hunter but also just enough away from everything to be quiet and peaceful.The addition of a Spa was a welcome treat to enjoy a glass of wine in once the baby was in the safe hands of the inlaws.Plenty of space and the added breakfast items and wine choice was also a nice touch.Only thing to note is there was no washing machine as outlined in the listing but other than that everything was perfect.Definitely stay again when in the area next.

Perfect family retreat

We loved our stay at Wirral Grange, the property was incredibly well appointed, the hosts were warm and welcoming and it was lovely to hear the animals from the wildlife park next door. We enjoyed our daily walks to feed the animals and the spa pool was an added bonus. The wine was fabulous too! Highly recommended in the perfect location to enjoy all the Hunter Valley has to offer.

3-night Stay

We have just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay with the family and our dog. Lovely location amongst the Wirral Grange vineyards, where you can hear the lions roar from the nearby Hunter Valley Zoo. Owners made us feel very welcome and we would definitely return for another stay.

Relaxing Stay at Private Vineyard

Our choice of Carol & Terry's cottage on their vineyard was easy.... private, pool, close to all vineyards.Great wine from their vineyard and a special touch on NYE of a bottle of champers... this was great as we had stayed in.. We also enjoyed the love / hate relationship with Story and Jack!!

Was really happy with the property. It was really comfortable and the stay was well organised. Everything was available in the property and we didnt have to buy or bring much with us at all. The wine provided was excellent, we even bought two boxes to take home.

Great property with everything you would need for a weekend away with friends. Comfy beds, clean and tidy. Fresh farm eggs and listen to the animals at the zoo.

Fantastic little getaway

Our family with our pup stayed here for a quick getaway during school holidays. The cottage was well equipped and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pantry staples. We loved the space and the quiet especially in the early hours of the morning. The hot spa was a big bonus! Carol and Terry were welcoming and friendly, and have given us space and privacy during our stay. Many thanks for sharing your property with us.

Stunning property

Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing stay, stunning property that we would love to visit again some time. We were incredibly impressed how Carol had thought of everything you would need in a holiday property and how puppy proof the property was. Thank you for allowing us to have our first family holiday away with our puppy Harry he had a ball as well and loved meeting Jack, throughly recommend to anyone.

We had a fabulous time and Carol was a wonderful host. The pantry and fridge were well stocked, and house was very clean. The pool was used and loved on the hot days. Seeing the giraffes at the zoo next door from the driveway was a highlight.

Great spot

We really enjoyed staying at this place, location was great as we have a dog and 2 kids 11 and 9. Fenced off big back yard made our dog very happy while the big spa pool in back yard kept the kids happy. All the facilities are there to cook anything you want including bbq. Certainly recommend and Carol and Terry were great hosts. Hopefully get back there soon.

Perfect Dog Friendly Property to Enjoy the Wine Country

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cosy, spotless, well equipped and really comfortable cottage in a great location to explore the Hunter Valley Wine Country. The cottage has everything and more that you could need, was perfect for our most important family member, our chocolate Lab, Milo. Great Short Break

We had a wonderful stay with family, 6 of us in total. House was in a beautiful location surrounded by vineyard and next to Wildlife park with added bonus of being able to see Giraffes and Zebras from driveway and able to hear other animal sounds such as Lions. Owners were very helpful and had provided special touches by including breakfast supplies, even farm fresh eggs from their chickens. House was clean and well appointed for guests to relax and enjoy a break with no worries.

Perfect location and pet friendly

In a lovely quiet spot, where you're able to take an evening stroll down the long driveway to view the alpacas and then around their vineyard, before returning for that glass of wine on the deck! Location is great and other vineyards and shops all within an easy drive. Accommodation as described and great to have fans and air-conditioning as it certainly is a lot warmer than in Sydney. Cottage well stocked and lovely linens. Very pet friendly and garden is safe for small dogs and our miniature dachshund had a great time and really enjoyed the freedom of a garden. Thanks Carol and Terry for your hospitality.

Carol has thought of absolutely everything! We loved staying here. The property is beautiful, we loved the animals. We loved the spa. Carol provided pool towels and bath towels. All linen provided. We had breakfast provisions. Each room had heating as well as a fire place. It was such a great location too. Having 2 bathrooms was great too. Having a full size kitchen and fridge was so useful. We would definitely come back.

Impressive all round...

A lovely, cosy cottage set in a beautiful location. Comfy beds -- I'm gonna miss that! :) In fact, we only left this morning, and I'm missing the place already. The cottage is close to everything you'd want to see in the Hunter Valley, and amid beautiful country. The Hunter Valley Wildlife Zoo is less than a minute from the front drive; you can hear the lions roar at night. It's brilliant. Above all else, the hosts, Carol and Terry are a highly generous, caring, and thoughtful couple, and worthy of great respect.
