Kitchen was very well equipped for our needs. The house was very clean and tidy. Was in the perfect location, close enough to Cowes to walk but far enough away from the traffic and crowds if you wanted to retreat. Great proximity to the race track.
Wonderful family friendly home with all you need for your getaway. Lots of board games and outdoor space for the young ones to enjoy and close proximity to all attractions.
Dish washer tried twice, didn’t seem to be working.. everything else fine…Location good.. walking a lot.. beach lovely..

The Igloo was the perfect place for us to spend a few days exploring Phillip Island. It’s close to everything but feels very quiet down a cul-de-sac, and you might spot a friendly kookaburra in the big eucalypts that surround the property. We found everything we needed (and more) for a comfortably stay, with heaps of space to spread out and relax. We loved playing finska in the back yard. Anita is a fantastic host with very clear communications prior to your arrival. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
We enjoyed our getaway and loved the location and place had ample parking plus generous space for everyone to feel comfortable. We thought it was great to play lawn bowls and board games and enjoy the birds and possum. There was even a visit from a koala who fall out of the tree one night

Thanks Paula,
So happy you enjoyed your holiday and were comfortable at the Igloo as well as enjoying the area and our games.
Wow, excited to hear there was a koala in the area, we will be looking out for it. Best, Anita
We had a lovely stay! The accommodation is really lovely and is perfectly located for restaurants, bars, beach and wildlife such as the penguins and koalas.
It’s a perfect place to escape from screens, however if you do want to watch TV, be aware that the TV is a bit small and tucked into the corner of the room, so I’d advise bringing a laptop etc if you want to cosy up and watch a film.
Would definitely stay again!
Great set up for families, with games and toys provided. Ideal location, close to shops, beach, and short drive to tourist attractions.
Take an eye mask if you like to sleep in the dark. Sheer curtains only, covering most of the windows but not all, with a street light out the front shining right into the front bedroom.
We loved The Igloo's spaciousness, cleanliness, bathrooms and kitchen, and took full advantage of these. We though we'd be more 'remote' and were surprised to be in such a suburban location. Having no wi-fi, air-con or privacy window coverings took a little getting used to. Lack of a handrail at the front steps was problematic - both in our 70's.
The igloo was the best holiday house we’ve stayed at in the many years visiting the Island. It was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a couple of rainy days during our stay, but the house was so lovely for a relaxing day indoors. The kids loved the exciting and spacious yard.
Anita was quick to reply to any questions, and was always very helpful.
The kitchen was fully equipped and the showers had great water pressure. The outdoor shower and trough was ideal for rinsing off after the beach.
Taller couples might find the double bed in the main bedroom a bit of a squeeze, but you could always each take a double bed - just remember to bring enough sheets.
Overall we loved our stay here and can’t wait stay again. It’s a truly memorable house.

Clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay

So happy that you enjoyed your stay, even on the very warm days, the Igloo stays comfortable without air con because of the large sash windows and air flow through the trees.
Thank you for looking after our house and leaving it as if you hadn't been there. Hope you will visits us another time.
Fantastic house, walking distance to all Cowes & the surrounds has on offer.
We had a fabulous stay at ‘The Igloo’ in Cowes. The house is spacious and generous in proportions. We also had clear and prompt correspondence with the owner.
Suburban Cowes. Bit crowded by neighbours, privacy curtains in the living room would improve the experience. However, close to all Cowes has to offer. Clean and well maintained.
We booked 'The Igloo' because it appeared to be an interesting design, well furnished, and reasonably priced, compared with other Cowes properties. We were not at all disappointed - it was excellent. We had to provide our own bed linen, but that was not a problem.
Great accommodation , maybe a bigger TV would be nice ....very short walk into town, and close to the circuit as well.
Would definitely recommend ( and return )
The Igloo is a super place to stay. It has all you need for a relaxing stay. It's in a quiet cul-de-sac but nearer enough to the center of Cowes - a 10 min walk into town.

Beautiful place to stay when in the island. Great location and all the board games make it just as fun staying in than going out.
