What a delightful cottage this was in Lorne. Wonderful host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable . It had everything we needed very peaceful and relaxing. Can’t wait to go back.
Very clean cottage, comfortable bed and pillows. Short walk to shops and foreshore, a bit of exercise walking back up the hill was good. Sue accommodated our special requests and gave us useful tips on things to see and do. Highly recommended.

Around About Lorne
Cottage was clean and comfortable and perfect location for everything. Sue was a great host and communicator. Would highly recommend and would love to return.
Very cosy and comfortable cottage that looked exactly as the photos. Hadn’t realised that the hosts stayed at the back of the property which impacted on our privacy a bit. Well located, short walk to town.

We advertise we are semi detached
Caretakers if needed.
Not like a motel or apartment, next to strangers.
The accommodation is purpose built, to run close to motel style, however with a lot more character.
Enjoy your journey to Adelaide with your four-legged friend.
Cheers
Sue
We had a lovely stay at this accommodation. It was extremely clean and tidy. The linen and towels were crisp and fresh. A cosy and comfortable stay. The porch was nice to sit on and enjoy a cuppa or a meal, which we did do, it was tranquil and the sounds of birds around added to the experience. 2 minute drive to Lorne main street/beach. We had our dog with us too and she enjoyed it too. We will definitely stay here again.
Great place to stay nice and quiet area with some friendly wildlife coming right up to the door
Fantastic experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, very easy going friendly property manager.

The accommodation was simply lovely. Our little dog was very happy to have us with her for 100% of the time and loved walking down to the beach each morning, and after an early coffee, a slightly harder walk back up. Great for fitness. Our host family went above and beyond, on all occasions. We booked into the Lorne Grand Pacific for a meal and when the Uber failed to show Sue dropped us and picked us up. I will be recommending ours hosts and accommodation to our own friends and family going forwards.

About the host
Hosted by Susan Balderas
I have worked within the Tourism Industry for over 20 years. Assistant Coordinator of the Lorne Visitor Information Centre. Ocean Lodge Lorne , Cleaner London, Plaza Hotel, Reservations and Sales.
I enjoy meeting and accommodating travellers, plus helping them have the best experience possible, while staying in our Picturesque Town.
Originally from a small country town, I love the community feel of Lorne.
Having met my husband from Lorne I settled here and eventually managed to build a house with a business attached to enable raising our two boys.
The perfect scenario.
We have been running the business for fourteen years. It is still our passion to make everyone who stays with us feel relaxed and comfortable.
To drive away from our property feeling refreshed, ready for whatever is next on the the agenda.
Why they chose this property
If you want a quiet setting with a bush feel, but close to the beach, that is us!
The house was purpose built with the business drafted specifically to give as much privacy as possible to our guests. It is completely separate to our living space, however semi detached. You are at the front of the property. We live at the back.
What makes this property unique
The house was designed to replicate one of the original guests houses of Lorne. It has Character, however with all the mod cons provided for a comfortable, warm, cosy stay .
French doors which lead onto the deck, allow a strip of Blue view of the Sea. Gum Trees out the front to house the birds that visit regularly, plus the odd Koala. Middle of Town to allow easy and quick access to the main street and Beach. Remember, we are on a hill.
