About the host
Hosted by William Barchet

Originally from Canada, I discovered Ashland in 1992, eventually moving here in 1995 from Maui. My wife is from Seoul, S. Korea. We met here in Ashland while she was co-director of the Institute for Asian Studies and Cultures. We owned/operated Hana Sushi restaurant in Ashland until retiring about 11 years ago. We enjoy playing tennis and walking the mountain trails next to our home.
Why they chose this property
My home is on one of the best homesites in the valley. The views are amazing, the weather is excellent, it has more privacy than most need, yet it is very convenient to excellent restaurants, entertainment and shopping.
What makes this property unique
The city of Ashland maintains an excellent network of walking/ hiking trails starting just outside my door. The home itself is on one level with a covered entertaining area in the back yard and a patio with incredible views in the front yard. Many of the design details, finishes and appliances are uncommonly seen in a rental.
