Brilliant views

Stayed for two nights, property has spectacular views and a lovely deck which is really what you're paying for. Had all supplies needed for cooking and a nice outdoor fireplace. Check-in and out was straight-forward. Bathrooms could have been a little bit cleaner but otherwise place was in great shape. Would love to revisit again with friends.

Nature lover’s paradise

This old home is in a spectacular area behind Maleny. The views, the sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. However the house itself, although on the surface is lovely, left much to be desired. No smoke alarms, rotting timber on the deck, dishwasher not working, dirty towels in the dormitory room, glass on front of fireplace falling off, weird movement of bamboo flooring in room 2, and generally not very clean. However we managed to work around it all and had a fun filled weekend.

Incredible location for a country getaway

Stayed for three nights for an adult family getaway. Intended to explore Maleny & Montville but enjoyed a lot of time just on the property, walking through the landscape and relaxing in the house. Incredible views, very comfortable, great deck. All amenities you could want (except any wifi or tech more advanced than a DVD player - that was part of the appeal, but it makes it hard for those who have to keep up with work & study). Huge bounty of kitchen supplies & board games. Wonderful for many nights' stay. Only major problem: two largest bedrooms face directly east and have very light curtains. Beautiful views of course, but bring a sleep mask or be ready to wake up with the dawn.

Super views and peaceful location

While the location was peaceful we had a sleepless night on the last day as a fire alarm went off at 1am waking up the adults and children. It was scary for the kids in particular. We all had a good look around but could not find any reason for this. Needs to be checked out. The kids loved the house and visits to Australia Zoo and the Bird park closeby in spite of the rain. A rug to wipe feet at deck entrance door would have been helpful specially due to heavy rain and mud. The fly screens are broken and need to be replaced

Great family holiday

This is a well appointed house in a beautiful location. The children (2 families) were able to roam free without adult supervision. Bike riding was a huge success. The property is an easy drive to Australia Zoo and to the Maleny Aviary.

Wonderful weekend retreat for large groups with kids

We had a lovely time at Watersmeet and it suited our party (4 couples and 4 children under 6) just perfectly. The bedrooms are all spacious and the living areas suit large groups. The lounge and large deck were especially excellent for wandering toddlers. It is a very tranquil setting on the farm with lots of different walks to go exploring. The kids loved the daily checks on the chickens and collecting their eggs. Access to the house was initially held up as it wasn't until we arrived that we realised we hadn't been sent the automated message from HomeAway with a key box code. But we managed to get hold of the owner after 20min or so. We should have realised we were missing this information before we arrived but it had been a long week. Only suggestion is perhaps keep more toilet paper at the house for large groups and/or longer stays as we had to buy more. We will definitely want to come back here!

Disappointing accomodation

We left early after 1 night. Unlike the photos there were no curtains in any of the bedrooms which particularly made kids feel uncomfortable at night. The deck was rickety and the baulastraiding was coming apart so unsafe to allow toddler to walk around. There were also no heaters for the rooms. Unlike description no table on grassy knoll to enjoy sunset drinks (as recommended on website).

What a weeekend

We had a fantastic weekend. From the moment we arrived we were totally blown away by the view and the size of property as well. We had 3 families including children and it felt very spacious with plenty of space and seating around the fire for some end of day beverages. The dining room/kitchen also had plenty of seating and the deck was huge and was a great place to sit and take in the views. The property itself was great, the kids loved seeing the cows and going exploring through the many walking trails, they loved racing each other back up the hill to the house (the adults were a bit slower). The view from the knoll at the top of the property is just breathe taking, it is easily accessible by foot or an easy drive up. Watersmeet had everything we needed, it came with plenty of fire wood for the weekend. We will be back next winter. Thanks again for your hospitality.

We enjoyed a family celebration for 2. Days with 8 adults and 2 young children. Had plenty of room. 2 fridges which was good, although we didn't need second one. Had a wood burning fire place which was good once we figured it out. Lovely views. Bulls and cows but 1 poor lonely hen was a bit sad. Mouse lives in BBQ. Some things need instructions to use, broom was useless and vacuum cleaner doesn't work too well.

Great Family Destination

Watersmeet is a wonderful country home. We stayed 3 nights with our family and 2 small grandchildren who never stopped smiling. The house has everything needed for a very comfortable family holiday, with the view from the beautiful deck truely magnificent. The fireplace made for a very warm cosy environment at night, and the chickens and cows were a big hit with the grandchildren. Very relaxing for all.

Picturesque Property and Beautiful House

We were so excited when we arrived at Watersmeet. It exceeded our expectations. The view from the deck was amazing. The house was beautifully presented, well equipped and extremely warm and cosy. We enjoyed all the walks around the paddocks, picking lemons and collecting eggs. It was the perfect family getaway and we look forward to coming back!

Couldnt believe our Eyes

Arriving on this absolutely amazing property, we couldn't believe our eyes. The views were nothing like we had seen before, It was like we had to keep pinching ourselves. Ideal Family Weekend in the Country

We loved our stay at Watersmeet and really had the country experience - long bush walks past the grazing cattle into the forests, even into the adjoining Bellthorpe National Park! In the evenings we BBQed and played board games from the cupboard - kids loved Battleship. We didn't bring our charger so ended up being truly technology free as a result - we were in the perfect place!

Wonderful country hideaway

Our stay was a surprise for a friend's birthday, and it was perfect!! She got a lovely surprise, and we had a bonding weekend, so much so we are going to re-book for this year also. The only change we will make would be not to venture into Maleny on a rainy/foggy night, we will stay at the house instead!! Really well-equipped facilities, with plenty of room for a big group, loved it!!

We recently stayed at Watersmeet for a girls weekend away. Upon arriving at the property, we could not believe our luck. The house is beautiful and cosy and the view just goes on forever - its to die for! We loved waking up every morning to feed the horses (we would have loved the option to ride them) and spent our days lazing on the deck or in front of the fireplace. I highly recommend this property and we cannot wait to go back!

We had an all too brief 2 days @ Watersmeet and even with 5 kids (adults outnumbered) and rainy weather it was comfy and spacious enough to spread out, have fun and spend quality time together. The kids can't wait to visit again and spend time with the horses! A highlight of the trip would have to be a walk through the mist with 2 little toddlers excited to find a real tractor and pick some bush lemons that smelt divine. Overall a beautiful property with expansive views and everything you need for a relaxing break away.

The layout worked really well for our 3 families and the 6 kids enjoyed being all together in the bunk room. The weather was cool and wet so we enjoyed the fire but we got out for a few walks and took the kids up to feed the birds at the Manager's place.
